5. Programming and Operation

The receiver operates in a momentary working model, meaning the relay activates only while the remote button is pressed.

5.1. Learning Transmitter Codes

To program a new remote control to the receiver:

  1. Press either the "learn 1" or "learn 2" button on the receiver board for approximately 1 second. The "learn_led" light on the receiver will illuminate.
  2. While the "learn_led" is lit, press the desired button on your remote control.
  3. Continue holding the remote button until the "learn_led" on the receiver flashes and then turns off. This indicates that the transmitter's code has been successfully stored.
  4. Repeat these steps for any other remote controls you wish to program.

6. User Tips

  • Remote Compatibility: This receiver is highly compatible. It can learn both fixed and rolling code 433.92MHz remote controls simultaneously.
  • Dual Control: Utilize the two independent channels to control two different gate automations or alarm systems with a single receiver.
  • Signal Range: For optimal reception, ensure the receiver's antenna is not obstructed and is positioned for best line-of-sight to the remote control. The reception range is typically 10-100m.
  • Power Supply: Always use a stable 12V-24V DC power supply to ensure reliable operation.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Receiver not responding: Check the power supply connections (V+ and GND) to ensure they are secure and providing the correct voltage (12V-24V DC).
  • Remote not programming: Ensure the remote control is operating at 433.92MHz and is compatible (fixed, learning, or rolling code). Make sure to press and hold the remote button until the "learn_led" on the receiver flashes and turns off. Try clearing all existing codes and reprogramming.
  • Reduced range: Check the receiver's antenna for any damage or obstructions. Ensure there are no major metallic objects or strong interference sources between the remote and the receiver.
  • Intermittent operation: Verify all wiring connections are tight and free from corrosion. Ensure the power supply is stable.

8. Maintenance

The SCS SENTINEL receiver is designed for low maintenance. Keep the unit clean and free from dust and moisture. Periodically check wiring connections for security and integrity. Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures or direct water contact.

9. Warranty and Support

For any issues or support needs, please contact the manufacturer or your point of purchase. Refer to the original packaging or product documentation for specific warranty terms and contact information.
