1. Introduction

4. Setup Guide

4.1. Micro SD Card Installation

1. Ensure the dash cam is powered off.
2. Locate the Micro SD card slot on the side of the main unit.
3. Insert the provided KAWA 64GB Micro SD card into the slot until it clicks into place.
4. To remove, gently push the card until it springs out.

4.2. Dash Cam Mounting

1. Clean the windshield area where you intend to mount the dash cam.
2. Apply the anti-static film to the chosen area on the windshield.
3. Attach the holder to the dash cam, then peel off the protective film from the 3M glue on the holder.
4. Press the dash cam firmly onto the anti-static film on the windshield, ensuring a clear view of the road.
5. Route the power cord neatly along the windshield edge and dashboard, using the crowbar to tuck it under trim if necessary, to the car charger.
6. Connect the rear camera to the main unit using the provided 7m cable and mount it on the rear windshield, ensuring optimal rear view coverage.

4.3. Power Connection

Plug the car charger into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket and connect the power cord to the dash cam. The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle starts.

5. Operation

5.1. Basic Recording

Once powered on, the KAWA D10 will automatically start recording. It captures video simultaneously from the front (4K) and rear (1080P) cameras. The recording is continuous, utilizing a loop-cycle recording feature that overwrites the oldest footage when the Micro SD card is full. Emergency-recorded videos are protected from overwriting.

5.2. Display and Camera Switching

The 3.16-inch IPS screen provides a clear view of the recording. You can switch between front and rear camera views with a single click on the device.

The dash cam utilizes AI-ISP technology, a Sony Starvis IMX415 sensor, F1.8 large aperture, and AI-3D DNR for enhanced night vision, capturing clear footage even in low-light conditions. Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology automatically adjusts exposure to ensure balanced lighting in various conditions, preventing overexposure or underexposure.

5.6. AI 24H Parking Motion Detection & G-Sensor

When your vehicle is parked, the AI 24H Parking Motion Detection feature, combined with the built-in G-sensor, monitors for sudden impacts or collisions. If an impact is detected, the camera will automatically initiate recording and lock the footage as an emergency video. You will receive notifications and can access these event videos through the KAWA AUTO app. Please note that this feature requires a separate mini USB hardwire kit, which is not included and must be purchased separately.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the dash cam lens and screen. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Temperature: Operate and store the dash cam within the specified temperature ranges to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Firmware Updates: Regularly check for and install firmware updates via the KAWA AUTO app to ensure your device has the latest features and bug fixes.
• SD Card Care: Format the Micro SD card periodically (e.g., once a month) through the dash cam settings to maintain its performance and prevent data corruption.

7. Troubleshooting

• Dash Cam not powering on:
  • Check if the car charger is properly plugged into the cigarette lighter socket and the power cord is securely connected to the dash cam.
  • Ensure your vehicle's ignition is on.
• Video quality issues (blurry, dark, overexposed):
  • Clean the camera lens.
  • Ensure the dash cam is mounted correctly and not obstructed.
  • The AI-ISP, Sony Starvis IMX415, and WDR features are designed to optimize video quality in various conditions. If issues persist, ensure firmware is updated.
• Micro SD card errors:
  • Ensure the Micro SD card is Class 10 or above, U3 speed, and within the 16G-256G capacity range.
  • Format the Micro SD card in the dash cam settings.
  • Try a different, compatible Micro SD card.
• App connection issues:
  • Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on your phone and the dash cam.
  • Restart both the dash cam and your phone.
  • Make sure you have downloaded the correct "KAWA AUTO" app.
• No audio recording:
  • Check the dash cam settings to ensure audio recording is enabled.

8. User Tips

• For optimal performance, use a Micro SD card that is Class 10 or above with U3 speed.
• The included KAWA 64GB Micro SD card is recommended for a smoother experience.
• When reviewing videos on a computer, we recommend using media players like Potplayer or VLC Media Player, especially for H.265 encoded videos.
• To enable 24H Parking Monitoring, a separate mini USB hardwire kit is required and not included in the package.
• Periodically check the dash cam's mounting to ensure it remains secure, especially after driving on rough roads or in extreme temperatures.
