1. Product Introduction

The iGPSPORT iGS630S is an advanced GPS bike computer designed to enhance your cycling experience with intelligent navigation, comprehensive data tracking, and smart training features. It supports global map navigation, smart climb planning, and indoor bike training, making it a versatile tool for cyclists of all levels.

2. Setup

2.1 Initial Setups

To open the device, hold and press the power button for 4 seconds. Upon first opening, use the ▲/▼ buttons to select options and the ↵ button to confirm. Use ▲/▼ to change values and ↵ to confirm. To return to a previous page, press ↶.

  1. Language Selection: Use ▲/▼ to select your language, then press ↵ to save and view the next setting.
  2. Smartphone Pairing Notification: Use your smartphone to download the iGPSPORT APP and pair it with the device. Press ↵ to view the next setting, and ↶ to return to the previous.
  3. Unit Selection: Use ▲/▼ to select units for speed/distance, elevation, or temperature. Press ↵ to save and view the next setting, and ↶ to return to the previous.
  4. Time Zone Selection: Use ▲/▼ to select the hour part of the time zone, then press ↵ to save and select the minute part. Press ↵ to save and view the next setting, and ↶ to return to the previous.

Note: The time zone is set here, but the time and date will be automatically calibrated after GPS is ready. Firmware updates are only available through the iGPSPORT APP. Ensure your smartphone is paired for optimal performance.

2.2 Charging

The device has a rechargeable Li-ion battery. Charge it using a DC power adapter or a computer USB port with the original charging cable.

  1. Unplug the USB waterproof plug from the back.
  2. Plug in the USB cable.
  3. Wait for charging to complete.

After charging, unplug the cable and re-insert the USB waterproof plug.

Note: Use a standard DC 5V power adapter. Fast charge adapters are not recommended as they may damage the battery. A low battery icon will appear in the upper right corner when charging is needed. Do not overstretch the USB waterproof plug to maintain its waterproof and dustproof performance.

2.3 Pairing Your Smartphone

Pairing your smartphone with the iGS630S allows for activity auto-sync, computer configuration, alerts, sensor management, tracking, and firmware updates. Always pair via the iGPSPORT APP, not your phone's Bluetooth settings. Ensure your phone has network access and Bluetooth is enabled.

  1. Download the iGPSPORT APP from AppStore or Google Play.
  2. Open the iGPSPORT APP and log in.
  3. Place the iGS630S near your smartphone. In the APP, go to 'My Status' or 'Device Management', click 'Add Device', select 'iGS Series', and choose 'iGS630S'. Click 'Connect' to start pairing.
  4. Accept the Bluetooth pairing request on your phone.
  5. After successful pairing, the iGS630S will appear in the device list. Complete settings in the APP and click 'Save and Sync'.

If pairing fails, restart your phone's Bluetooth, the iGPSPORT APP, or the iGS630S and try again.

Remove Pairing

To pair with another smartphone, first remove the current pairing:

  1. Go to 'Setting' > 'Pair Phone' to view the paired device list.
  2. Select the device to delete, click 'Unpair', and press ↵ to confirm.

Note: Avoid frequent pairing/unpairing.

2.4 Installation of Standard Bike Mount

Use the included rubber bands to attach the standard bike mount to the bike stem.

  1. Place the rubber disk on the back of the standard bike mount.
  2. Select a suitable position on the bike stem.
  3. Use two rubber bands to bypass the bike stem, hook the buckle of the bike mount, and fix it.
  4. Align the tabs on the back of the device with the standard bike mount notches.
  5. Place the cycling computer on the base and rotate it 90 degrees.

2.5 Installing the Front Extension Bracket

  1. Choose an appropriate mounting position on the handlebar to avoid compromising riding safety.
  2. Use a hex wrench to remove the screw from the handlebar connector.
  3. Wrap the handlebar with the rubber buffer and tighten the screws.
  4. Align the base of the code counter with the mounting slot of the extension bracket and turn 90° clockwise until the device locks.

2.6 Common Wheel Size Setting

Correct wheel size setting is crucial for accurate cycling information. There are two methods:

  1. Method 1 (Manual Measurement): Mark the air valve where the wheel touches the ground. Roll the bike one full rotation on a flat surface, keeping tires perpendicular to the ground. Mark the ground again at the air valve. Measure the distance between the two marks to get the circumference. Subtract 4mm for the actual circumference.
  2. Method 2 (Using Diameter): Refer to the diameter (in inches or ETRTO) printed on the wheel and match it with the table below.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Button Features

The iGS630S has 6 buttons with different functions depending on the situation. Refer to the table below for specific functions:

3.2 Icon Descriptions

3.3 Going for a Ride

Pre-Riding

Before starting your ride, ensure the device detects a GPS signal for accurate data. Go outdoors, away from tall buildings and trees, keep the device still with the screen up, and avoid touching it. If sensors were previously connected, they will automatically connect. The device will also automatically measure heart rate, cadence, and power if connected sensors are active.

When at least four satellites are located, the GPS icon □ will appear, and you can start riding. For more accurate data, wait until ■ or ■■ appears, indicating sufficient satellites for good GPS accuracy.

Once all signals are detected, press ►► to enter the cycling data page. Press ►► again to start recording an activity. To start a new lap record, press ↷. The lap data will display for 10 seconds. Press ↶ or ↷ to exit the lap data popup.

During recording, press ►► to stop the timer. Press ↵ to view the menu, select "Save", and press ↵ again to save the recording. After saving, the Riding Data Summary will display. Use ▲/▼ to select and view the summary. Press ↶ or ↷ to close the lap data popup.

While-Riding

During your ride, use ▲/▼ to switch riding views. The displayed data depends on the selected cycling mode and its configuration. You can customize data fields for each activity mode in the iGPSPORT APP.

Status Page View: During the ride, press ↵ to view the Status page, showing sensors, weather, and smart notifications.

Shortcut Menu: During the ride, press ↵ to open the menu and access functions like page templates, data fields, and elevation calibration.

Lap: Pressing ↷ can manually lap. Auto Lap can be enabled in the iGPSPORT APP by distance, position, or time.

Post-Riding

After finishing an activity, you can immediately view its details on the device. More detailed data and analysis are available in the iGPSPORT APP or its official website. On the home page, use ▲/▼ to select 'History' and press ↵ to view recent activities and summaries.

View Cycling Data in the iGPSPORT APP: If your smartphone is within Bluetooth range, the device will automatically connect and sync with the iGPSPORT APP (if auto-sync is enabled). The APP allows you to analyze activity records and share them.

3.4 Cycling Mode

Cycling mode refers to the selectable cycling methods on the device. There are four default modes, and you can create and customize new ones. You can set specific data page templates and select data fields (e.g., heart rate only, speed and distance only) to best suit your training needs. The device can save up to 8 cycling modes.

On the home page, select 'Cycling Mode' and press ↵ to view options. Select a mode and press ↵ to view its options.

Enabling Modes

Select 'Enable' and press ↵ to enable a mode.

Page Setting

Select 'Page Selection' and press ↵ to enter the page list. There are five system-built-in data pages, maps, altimeters, and other specific pages.

  • Select 'Show Screen' and press ↵ to show/hide it. Press ↶ to exit.
  • Select 'Data Fields Setting' and press ↵ to view page templates. Use ▲/▼ to switch and get a live preview. Press ↶ to cancel and exit.
  • Switch to the needed page and press ↵ to save and set data fields. Press ↶ to exit and save the template.

Auto Functions

Select 'Auto Functions' and press ↵ to view its options. Select an auto function and press ↵ to open and set threshold values. Use ▲/▼ to select the value and press ↵ to save and exit.

Alerts Setting

Select 'Alerts' and press ↵ to view its options. Select an alert and press ↵ to view and set the value. Use ▲/▼ to select the value and press ↵ to save and exit.

Add/Delete Modes

Select 'Add New' and press ↵ to create a new mode. Select an existing mode as a template and customize it. Select 'Delete' and press ↵ to delete a mode (only applicable to user-added modes).

3.5 Navigation

The iGS630S provides guided navigation. You can plan routes in the iGPSPORT APP or import GPX files. Press ▲/▼ to select 'Navigation' on the home page, and press ↵ to view its options.

The iGS630S features intelligent navigation, allowing you to explore new routes.

Following a Course

Courses sent from the iGPSPORT APP can be viewed in navigation routes. Select 'Navigation Routes' and press ↵ to view options. Use ▲/▼ to select a course, press ↵ to view its options, and press ↵ again to start navigation. The device will display the map page with course overview and elevation profiles.

Follow a Saved Activity

Select 'Activities' and press ↵ to view options. Press ▲/▼ to select an activity, and press ↵ to start navigation.

Navigate by Location Point

Select 'Saved positions', press ↵ to display saved positions. Use ▲/▼ to select a location, tap to view details on the map, then tap to start offline navigation planning with the location as the end point.

Navigation Options (During Cycling)

  • Zoom in/out map: Press ↷ on the map page.
  • Back to starting point: Press ↵ to view menu options, then select 'Back to the Starting Point' and press ↵ to navigate.
  • Stop the Route: Select 'Stop the Route' and press ↵ to stop navigation.

3.6 Workouts

Press ↵ to select 'Workouts', and press ↵ to view its options. You can create workout courses based on heart rate, power, time, distance, or calories in the iGPSPORT APP, or import from TrainingPeaks APP.

Following a Workout Course

Download a workout course from the iGPSPORT APP. Use ▲/▼ to select a course, press ↵ to view its options, and press ↵ again to start the course. The Workout page will display on the last page of cycling data. Press ►► to start the workout and activity timer. Press ↷ on the Workout page to stop the current step and enter the next one. Press ↵ to view the menu, select 'Stop Workout', and press ↵ to stop it.

Trainer Training

Select 'Trainer Mode' and press ↵ to view its options. If the smart trainer is not connected, press ↵ to view sensor options. Wake up and connect the smart trainer. Select 'Level' and press ↵ to view its options. Press ↵ in the main menu. Press ►► to start or stop the activity timer. Press ↵ to view the menu, and select 'Save' to save the activity.

3.7 Stage

The iGS630S stage function allows cyclists to challenge themselves with split timing, targeted training, and performance comparison.

Release Stage

Race segments need to be sent to the stopwatch from the iGPSPORT APP. After connecting to the APP, select 'Segment' on the 'My' page to select a segment for distribution.

Stage Setting

In stage settings, you can enable/disable stage detection, select challenge goals, and synchronize the latest stage information with the APP.

Stage Use

After enabling/disabling segment detection, the segment page will open when you pass the segment route during an activity, and the stopwatch will display completion information.

3.8 History

History refers to saved cycling activities on the device. You can view information like time, distance, calories, average speed, laps, and sensor data.

On the home page, use ▲/▼ to select 'History' and press ↵ to view it.

All Activities

Go to 'History' > 'All Activities' and press ↵ to view options. Use ▲/▼ to select an activity, press ↵ to view its options, and press ↵ again to view details. Press ↵ once more to view laps and charts, or to delete the activity. Press ↶ to exit.

Historical Data

Go to 'History' > 'Historical' and press ↵ to view odometer, total time, total ascent, and maximum speed of all activities.

3.9 Status Page

Press ↵ to view its options. The Status Page displays GPS, battery, sensor and smartphone connection status, date, sunrise/sunset times, and current altitude.

Sensors

Select 'Sensors' and press ↵ to view options. Wake up nearby sensors. Use ▲/▼ to select options for adding sensors. The device will display all searched sensors. Press ↵ to select a sensor and press ↵ to connect and save it.

Lamp Mode

View lighting modes of connected lamps and press ↵ to quickly change the mode.

Weather

View weather information synced by the iGPSPORT APP. On Status Page, select 'Weather' using ▲/▼. Press ↵ to view details and update information. After updating, temperature, chance of rain, wind velocity, and direction will display. Press ↶ to exit.

Smart Notifications

View calls and messages from your smartphone. Set options for smart notifications through the iGPSPORT APP.

3.10 Settings

Press ↵ on the home page to view its options.

Sensors

The iGS630S pairs with ANT+ and Bluetooth sensors including heart rate monitors, cadence sensors, speed sensors, power meters, smart trainers, and electronic shifters.

Sensors Pairing: Ensure sensors are correctly installed before pairing. Go to 'Setting' > 'Sensor' > 'Add a Sensor', and press ↵ to search for sensors. Rotate crank arms for cadence/power sensors, or wheel for speed sensors, to wake them up. Once found, select the sensor and press ↵ to pair. After successful pairing, the sensor will be in the list.

Sensors Setting: Select a connected sensor, press ↵ to open the menu and select data to set (e.g., Wheel Size, Crank Length, Power Meter Calibration).

Sensors Removing: Select a saved sensor, press ↵ to view options, then select 'Forget' to remove it.

Theme

The device supports multiple theme colors. Select 'Theme' and press ↵ for theme selection. Select 'Desktop Style' and press ↵ to choose a style.

Power Management

Battery Save Mode prolongs battery life but lowers data accuracy. When enabled, GPS location and sensor data recording frequency is reduced. Select 'Power Manage' and press ↵ to view options. Enable/disable 'Auto Sleep' and 'Auto Power Off' functions here.

System Setting

Select 'System Setting' and press ↵ to view its options.

  • Language: Select 'Language' and press ↵ to choose your language.
  • Backlight: Select 'Backlight' and press ↵ to view options. Adjust brightness, mode (dark mode), and backlight time.
  • GPS Mode: Select 'Settings' > 'System Settings' > 'GPS Settings' and press ↵ to choose GPS modes (Precision, Balanced, Power Saving, Smart Switching, Custom).
  • Sounds: Select 'Key Tones' and press ↵ to open/close it.
  • Time: Select 'Time' and press ↵ to view options. Set time format (12/24-Hour) and time zone.
  • Units: Customize units for distance/speed, elevation, temperature, time, and date formats.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Firmware Update

To ensure optimal performance, update firmware when new versions are available. Updates improve user experience, add new functions, enhance existing functions, or fix errors. No data will be lost during firmware updates.

Note: Before updating, sync activity data to your iGPSPORT account to prevent data loss. Ensure the device is fully charged, and Bluetooth/data network is stable. Go to iGPSPORT APP > Device > Firmware Update to check for new versions. Updates can take up to 20 minutes depending on Bluetooth signal strength.4.2 Device Settings

If you encounter problems, try restarting the device. Restarting will not delete settings or personal data. Long press ↶ to turn off, then press ↶ again to restart.

About The Device: Select 'About' and press ↵ to view device information such as serial number, software version, and copyright notice.

Cycling Data Export: Turn off the computer, connect the iGS630S to the computer's USB port. Open the 'iGPSPORT' folder > 'Activities' folder and copy/export Fit files.

4.3 Cleaning

Mud or dirt on the device may cause inaccurate elevation readings. Ensure the device is kept clean for normal barometer function.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Pairing Issues: If smartphone pairing fails, try restarting your smartphone's Bluetooth, the iGPSPORT APP, or the iGS630S device.
  • Sensor Connection: If a sensor is replaced (e.g., battery change), it needs to be searched and reconnected. If the device is reset or firmware updated, sensors may need to be re-searched.
  • Charging Issues: Avoid using fast chargers as they may damage the battery. Ensure the USB waterproof plug is properly sealed after charging to maintain water and dust resistance.
  • Device Malfunction: If the device experiences problems, a restart can often resolve them without losing data.
