Important Safeguards
Please read all safety instructions and operating instructions in full. To avoid danger, you must follow these guidelines.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
- This appliance is designed to be used in households and for similar uses such as: in kitchens for employees in shops, offices and other commercial areas; in agricultural businesses; in motels, hotels and other residential facilities and in bed and breakfast guesthouses. - The appliance must not be in a cupboard during use.
- The appliance must be connected to a properly installed earthed socket.
- The appliance must always be disconnected from the mains supply when left unattended and before assembly, disassembly or cleaning.
- Before use, make sure that there are no foreign objects in the bean container of the coffee grinder.
- Do not remove the lid of the bean container until the grinder has come to a complete stop.
- Never place your fingers or hands near the grinder mechanism and/or ground coffee chute when the grinder is in use.
- Do not reach into the ground coffee chute during use.
- Do not allow the power cord to come into contact with hot surfaces.
- Do not use the appliance if the power cord is damaged.
- Never immerse the appliance in water.
- Do not clean parts that come into contact with food with aggressive detergents or scouring milk. Remove detergent residues with clean water.
- Do not clean parts of the coffee grinder in the dishwasher.
- Always use a soft brush to clean the grinder mechanism. Do not use water or soap for cleaning.
- Use of accessories not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or personal injury.

Setup: Before First Use
- Remove all packaging materials from the appliance.
- All appliances are tested during manufacturing, so some ground coffee residues may be present. This is normal.
- Wash the bean hopper, ground coffee container, and container lid in warm, soapy water. Dry thoroughly. Wipe the exterior of the grinder with a soft, damp cloth and dry it completely.
- Place the appliance on a dry, level, and stable surface.
- Ensure that your household's mains voltage matches the information on the product label located on the base of the appliance.
- Connect the appliance to a power supply.
Operating Instructions
Energy Saving Feature
The grinder will automatically switch off if not used for 15 minutes. To reactivate the machine from POWER SAVING/SLEEP MODE, press any key on the grinder control panel.
Note:
- If the bean hopper has not been locked into position, the “E1” icon will be displayed on the control panel, disabling the operation of the grinder for safety.
- The coffee grinder is only suitable for grinding coffee beans. Do not use caramelised coffee beans. Do not fill the bean container with ground coffee.
Filling the Coffee Beans
- Remove the lid on the bean container.
- Fill the bean container with the required quantity of coffee beans (approx. 300g capacity).
- Replace the lid on the bean container.

Grinding Operation Steps: 1. Add coffee beans. 2. Choose your ideal gear. 3. Press cup selection button. 4. Press "+" or "-" to set the number of cups from 1-12 or grinding time from 1-60 seconds. 5. Click the START/STOP button to begin grinding. 6. All done. Take out the powder.
Setting Grind Level
The grinder offers 30 different grind levels to suit various preparation methods (e.g., espresso, filter coffee, French press).
- To adjust the grind level, turn the bean container with light pressure to the required position.
- Select a grind level from fine (Fine) to coarse (Coarse) depending on your preparation method.

Choosing a Grind Programme
Three different grind programmes can be selected via the display:
- Cup Selection: Grind by number of cups (1-12 cups).
- Time Selection: Grind by time (1-60 seconds).
- Portafilter Volume: Grind by portafilter volume (single to double).
To switch between these programmes, touch the respective key for 3 seconds.

- The cup selection ranges from 1 to 12 cups. This is a guide, as actual coffee quantity may vary based on taste, bean type, roast, and grind.
- Press the cup selection key; the cup symbol will appear on the display.
- Use the "+" or "-" keys to set the number of cups. Hold the button down for faster adjustment.
- Press the ON/OFF key to start grinding. The grinder will stop automatically once the preset number of cups is reached.
- Grinding can be stopped at any time by pressing the ON/OFF key.
- The last selected cup setting will be stored even after unplugging.
Selecting Grinding Time
- The time selection ranges from 1 to 60 seconds. This is a guide, as actual coffee quantity may vary based on taste, bean type, roast, and grind.
- Press the time selection key; the "SEC" symbol will appear on the display.
- Use the "+" or "-" keys to set the grinding time. Hold the button down for faster adjustment.
- Press the ON/OFF key to start grinding. The grinder will stop automatically once the preset time is reached.
- Grinding can be stopped at any time by pressing the ON/OFF key.
- The last selected time setting will be stored even after unplugging.
Selecting Portafilter Volume
- This setting allows for single or double shot volume for portafilters. This is a guide, as actual coffee quantity may vary based on taste, bean type, roast, and grind.
- Press the portafilter volume key for 3 seconds; the portafilter symbol will appear on the display.
- Use the "+" or "-" keys to set the volume from single to double.
- Press the ON/OFF key to start grinding. The grinder will stop automatically once the preset volume is reached.
- Grinding can be stopped at any time by pressing the ON/OFF key.
- The last selected volume setting will be stored even after unplugging.

The grinder is designed for espresso, compatible with 51-54mm portafilters from espresso machines.
Note: After use, the appliance must be unplugged. Remove the Ground Coffee Container and use the grounds as you desire.
Cleaning & Maintenance
ATTENTION: Always disconnect the mains plug before cleaning!
For best coffee results, we recommend regular cleaning of the bean container, grinder, and ground coffee chute. Clean when the grinder is completely empty.
- Removing the Bean Container: Press and hold the button at the bottom edge of the bean container in the open position. Simultaneously, turn the bean container anti-clockwise until it stops and remove it. Remove coffee residues with a soft, damp cloth.
- Cleaning the Grinding Mechanism: The outer grinder ring can be removed for cleaning. Lift the clamp upwards and unlock the grinder ring by turning it anti-clockwise. Remove the grinder ring.
- Clean the grinding mechanism with the supplied brush. Remaining coffee residues can be shaken out or removed using a vacuum cleaner.
- Reassembling the Grinder Ring: Replace the grinder ring in the appliance and turn it clockwise until it locks into place. It is fully locked when it can no longer be pulled up and out.
- Cleaning Chute and Housing: Ground coffee residues on the ground coffee chute and housing can be removed with the enclosed brush and/or a soft, damp cloth.
- Reinserting the Bean Container: Place it on the appliance and turn clockwise until it clicks into place. The markings on the housing and bean container should align vertically. The coffee grinder will only operate if the bean container is correctly inserted.
- The collecting container and the lid of the bean container can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
- Never clean the coffee grinder and its removable parts in the dishwasher.

The removable bean hopper (10.5 oz/300g capacity) and anti-static chamber facilitate easy cleaning and mess-free operation.
Troubleshooting
- Appliance not starting / "E1" displayed: Ensure the bean hopper is correctly locked into position. The "E1" icon indicates the hopper is not properly seated, preventing operation for safety.
- Loud, rattling, or unknown noise during grinding: The appliance has overload protection for the grinding mechanism. This protects against damage from foreign objects. If you hear such a noise, immediately press the ON/OFF button and clean the grinding mechanism as described in the "Cleaning & Maintenance" section.
- Grinder automatically switches off: The appliance has an energy-saving feature and will switch off after 15 minutes of inactivity. Press any button to reactivate.

- Freshness Matters: Fresh beans yield the best flavor and aroma. Only fill the bean container with the quantity of coffee beans you intend to use in the near future.
- Grind Quantity: The required grind quantity depends on the coffee quantity and preparation method. Different amounts are used for different preparation methods.
- Grind Size Variation: The actual grind size for a particular setting will vary depending on many factors, including: degree of roast (light vs. dark), freshness, humidity, type of bean, oil content, etc. Experiment to find the setting that best meets your taste, brewing style, and personal coffee-making preferences.
- Pre-grinding: Avoid filling the bean container with pre-ground coffee. The grinder is designed for whole beans.
