Operating Instructions
The TAIDEA TG2302 features a 3-stage sharpening system:
- Stage 1 (Coarse - 120# Diamond): For dull or damaged blades.
- Stage 2 (Fine - 600# Diamond): For general sharpening and maintaining blade edge.
- Stage 3 (Polish - 1000# Resin): For honing and polishing the blade to a razor-sharp finish.
- Turn on the sharpener using the indicator light switch.
- For very dull or damaged knives, start with Stage 1 (Coarse). Insert the knife blade into the appropriate slot, ensuring it is centered. Gently slide the knife back and forth for 10-15 seconds. Repeat this 3-4 times.
- Move to Stage 2 (Fine). Insert the knife blade into the fine sharpening slot and repeat the back-and-forth motion for 10-15 seconds, 3-4 times.
- Finish with Stage 3 (Polish). Insert the knife blade into the polishing slot and repeat the back-and-forth motion for 10-15 seconds, 3-4 times, to achieve a refined edge.
- After sharpening, carefully remove the knife and wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
- Turn off the sharpener and unplug it from the power outlet.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: After each use, ensure the sharpener is unplugged. The magnetic debris collection cover, located on the bottom of the unit, attracts iron filings generated during sharpening. Remove this cover, empty the filings, and wipe it clean. Reattach the cover securely.
- Storage: Store the sharpener in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- General Care: Wipe the exterior of the sharpener with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Troubleshooting
- Device not turning on: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into both the sharpener and the electrical outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the 'on' position. Test the outlet with another appliance.
- Knives not sharpening effectively: Ensure you are using the correct sharpening stage for the knife's condition. Apply light, consistent pressure and slide the knife slowly through the slots. Repeat the process 3-4 times per slot. Very dull knives may require more passes through the coarse stage.
- Excessive noise during operation: This is usually normal for electric sharpeners. However, if the noise is unusually loud or grinding, ensure no foreign objects are lodged in the sharpening slots. If the issue persists, discontinue use and contact customer support.
