6. Operating Instructions: Jump Starting Your Vehicle
Follow these steps to safely jump start your vehicle:
- Prepare the Vehicle: Ensure your vehicle is in Park (P) or Neutral (N) and the parking brake is engaged. Turn off all vehicle accessories (lights, radio, A/C, etc.). Open the vehicle's hood.
- Connect Clamps to Jump Starter: Insert the smart clamp connector firmly into the jump starter's port.
- Connect to Car Battery:
- Attach the RED (+) clamp to the positive terminal of your car battery.
- Attach the BLACK (-) clamp to the negative terminal of your car battery.
- Charge the Jump Starter: The Jstar X1 will begin to draw power from your car's weak battery to charge its super capacitors. The display on the jump starter will show the charging progress. It will be fully charged within approximately 3 minutes. When the display shows "100%" and the voltage, it's ready.
- Initiate Start: Press the power button on the jump starter. The device will emit regular ticking sounds for about 10 seconds.
- Start Engine: After the regular ticking turns into a long beep, start your vehicle's engine within 30 seconds.
- Remove Clamps: Once the engine starts, immediately remove the smart clamps from the car battery, first the black (-) clamp, then the red (+) clamp, and then disconnect from the jump starter.
Important Note: For the 3-minute quick charge from your car battery, the car battery's left voltage must be above 5V.

7. Charging the Jstar X1

Note: The Super Capacitor will automatically release all the power stored after 24 hours of charging.
