Setup and Installation
Package Contents
Ensure all components are present in the original package:
- LINGDU LD08 Main Unit (Front Camera)
- Rear Camera
- Cabin Camera (integrated or separate, depending on configuration)
- Power Cable (Corded Electric)
- Mounting Accessories
- User Manual (this document)
Note: A hardwire kit for 24H parking mode is not included and must be purchased separately.
Physical Installation
- Mounting the Front Camera: Choose a suitable location on your windshield, typically behind the rearview mirror, to ensure an unobstructed view and avoid interfering with the driver's line of sight. Use the provided adhesive mount or suction cup mount to secure the main unit.
- Connecting Cameras: Connect the rear and cabin cameras to the main unit using the provided cables. Route the cables neatly along the vehicle's headliner and A-pillars to conceal them and prevent interference with driving.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cable to the dash cam and plug it into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket). For continuous power and parking monitoring, a hardwire kit (sold separately) is required to connect directly to the vehicle's fuse box.
- Adjusting Camera Angle: Power on the dash cam and adjust the lens angles for the front, rear, and cabin cameras to ensure optimal coverage. Use the live view feature in the LINGDU app for precise adjustment.

Initial Setup and App Connection
- Power On: Once connected to power, the dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording.
- Download LINGDU App: Download the "LINGDU APP" from your smartphone's app store.
- Connect via Wi-Fi:
- Enable Wi-Fi on your smartphone.
- Open the LINGDU APP and follow the instructions to connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi name and password are typically found on the dash cam itself or in the quick start guide.
- Once connected, you can view the live feed, adjust settings, and manage recordings directly from your phone.
- Language Settings: The dash cam supports multiple OSD languages including English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Russian. Adjust the language through the dash cam's menu or via the LINGDU app.

Key Features
- Loop Recording: When the built-in 128GB eMMC storage is full, the dash cam automatically overwrites the oldest unlocked video files to continue recording.
- G-Sensor (Emergency Recording): In the event of a sudden impact or collision, the built-in G-sensor detects the event and automatically locks the current video file, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording.
- Parking Mode: Supports 24-hour recording when connected to a hardwire kit (not included). This feature monitors your vehicle for impacts even when parked.
- Voice Control: The dash cam supports English voice commands for basic operations such as "Open recording" and "Turn off recording."
- ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems): Provides alerts for enhanced driving safety, including:
- Lane Departure Warning
- Front Car Start Reminder
- Front Car Collision Warning
Note: ADAS features may not be available in all recording modes (e.g., 5K 1-CH or 3-CH modes).
- Super Night Vision: The F2.0 wide aperture lens and 6-layer all-glass lens, combined with 6 infrared lights for the cabin camera, ensure clear recordings even in low-light conditions.
- Wi-Fi & App Control: Use the LINGDU APP to view live footage, playback recorded videos, download files to your smartphone, and adjust dash cam settings. The Wi-Fi connection is for direct device-to-phone communication and does not provide internet access.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Device
- Gently wipe the camera lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear recordings.
- Use a dry or slightly damp cloth to clean the exterior of the dash cam. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure no moisture enters the device's ports.
Storage Management
- The LD08 features built-in 128GB eMMC storage, which is managed automatically by the loop recording function.
- Emergency locked videos are protected from overwriting. Periodically review and manually delete any unwanted locked videos to free up space.
- No external memory card is required, but ensure the internal storage is functioning correctly.
Super Capacitor Benefits
The LINGDU LD08 utilizes a supercapacitor instead of a traditional battery. This offers several advantages:
- Enhanced Temperature Resistance: Withstands extreme temperatures from -20°C (-4°F) to 70°C (158°F), reducing the risk of overheating and improving reliability in various climates.
- Extended Lifespan: Supercapacitors generally have a longer lifespan compared to lithium-ion batteries, contributing to the overall durability of the dash cam.
- Improved Safety: Less prone to swelling or explosion under extreme conditions, making it a safer power solution for in-car use.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Dash cam does not power on. | No power supply; faulty power cable; vehicle's 12V outlet is off. | Check power cable connection. Ensure vehicle's ignition is on or 12V outlet is active. Try a different power source if available. |
| Recording stops unexpectedly. | Storage full (if not loop recording); power interruption; device malfunction. | Ensure loop recording is enabled. Check power connection. If problem persists, contact support. |
| Wi-Fi connection issues with app. | Incorrect Wi-Fi password; too far from dash cam; app not updated. | Verify Wi-Fi password. Ensure smartphone is within 9 feet of the dash cam. Update LINGDU APP to the latest version. Restart both devices. |
| ADAS features not working. | ADAS disabled; incorrect recording mode; camera view obstructed. | Check ADAS settings in the app. Ensure you are in a compatible recording mode (not 5K 1-CH or 3-CH modes). Clean windshield and ensure camera view is clear. |
| Poor video quality at night. | Dirty lens; extreme low light conditions; settings not optimized. | Clean all camera lenses. Ensure night vision is enabled. While the dash cam has Super Night Vision, extreme darkness may still limit visibility. |
