5. Setup Guide
- Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the vacuum sealer and accessories for any signs of damage.
- Placement: Place the vacuum sealer on a flat, stable, and dry surface. Ensure there is enough space around the machine for safe operation.
- Power Connection: Connect the AC power cable to the vacuum sealer and then plug it into a suitable electrical outlet (refer to specifications for voltage requirements).
- Loading Bag Roll (Optional):
- Open the lid of the vacuum sealer.
- Insert a vacuum bag roll into the built-in storage chamber. The machine supports rolls up to 20 feet (6 meters) in length.
- Pull out the desired length of bag material and use the built-in 11.8-inch (30cm) cutter to create a custom-sized bag.

6. Operating Instructions
The INKBIRD INK-VS03 offers multiple modes for optimal food preservation.
6.1 Basic Vacuum Sealing (Bags)
- Prepare the Bag: If not using a pre-made bag, cut a suitable length from the bag roll using the built-in cutter. Seal one end of the bag if it's open.
- Place Food: Put the food item(s) into the vacuum bag. Ensure there is at least 2-3 inches of empty space at the top of the bag for sealing.
- Position the Bag: Open the vacuum sealer lid. Place the open end of the bag into the vacuum chamber. Ensure the bag is flat and smooth across the sealing strip. The transparent window with LED indication helps confirm correct placement.
- Close and Lock: Close the lid firmly until both sides click into place, indicating it is locked.
- Select Mode:
- Dry Mode (VAC&SEAL): For solid foods without moisture (e.g., nuts, bread, dry meat). Press the "DRY VAC&SEAL" button.
- Moist Mode (VAC&SEAL): For foods with some moisture (e.g., seasoned meat, fruits). Press the "MOIST VAC&SEAL" button. For very moist foods, consider placing a paper towel inside the bag to absorb excess moisture and prevent it from interfering with the seal.

- Start Process: The machine will automatically vacuum the air and then seal the bag. The sealing time display will show the remaining time.

- Release and Remove: Once the process is complete, the indicator light will turn off. Press the release buttons on both sides to open the lid and remove the sealed bag.
6.2 Sealing Only (No Vacuum)
This mode is ideal for sealing bags without removing air, suitable for fragile items like chips or bread that might be crushed by vacuuming.
- Place the open end of the bag onto the sealing strip.
- Close and lock the lid.
- Press the "SEAL" button. The machine will only heat seal the bag without vacuuming.
- Once complete, release the lid and remove the sealed bag.
6.3 Pulse Vacuum (Manual Control)
The "PULSE" mode allows for manual control over the vacuum process, perfect for delicate items where you want to prevent crushing or for partial vacuuming.
- Place the open end of the bag into the vacuum chamber.
- Close and lock the lid.
- Press and hold the "PULSE" button. The machine will vacuum as long as the button is held.
- Release the "PULSE" button when the desired vacuum level is reached.
- Immediately press the "SEAL" button to seal the bag.
- Once complete, release the lid and remove the sealed bag.
6.4 External Vacuum Sealing (Containers/Jars)
Use the included air suction hose to vacuum seal compatible external containers and jars.
- Prepare your vacuum-sealable container or jar with food. Ensure the container lid is properly closed and the vacuum port is accessible.
- Connect one end of the air suction hose to the vacuum port on the INKBIRD INK-VS03 machine.
- Connect the other end of the hose to the vacuum port on your container/jar.
- Press the "VAC" button on the machine. The machine will begin to extract air from the container.
- Once the vacuum process is complete (the machine will stop automatically or you can press "STOP"), remove the hose.

7. Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: The ABS shell and stainless steel panel are designed for easy cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. For the vacuum chamber and sealing strip, use a soft, damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Ensure the machine is unplugged before cleaning and completely dry before next use.
- Seal Gasket: Regularly inspect the seal gasket for any signs of wear or damage. A spare seal gasket is included in your package for replacement if needed. A damaged gasket can affect vacuum performance.
- Storage: Store the vacuum sealer in a clean, dry place when not in use.

- Bag Compatibility: For optimal vacuum sealing, it is recommended to use embossed vacuum sealer bags. While some smooth bags might work for sealing only, embossed bags are crucial for efficient air extraction. The machine supports bags up to 30 cm (11.8 inches) in width.
- Moisture Management: When vacuuming moist foods, place a folded paper towel at the top of the bag, just below the sealing area, to absorb any excess liquid. This helps ensure a strong, reliable seal and prevents moisture from entering the machine.
- Preventing Crushing: For delicate items like bread or pastries, use the "PULSE" function to manually control the vacuum level, or simply use the "SEAL" function to seal the bag without vacuuming.
- Continuous Use: The machine is designed for robust use, capable of 200 continuous operations in Dry mode and 50 in Moist mode. Allow a brief cool-down period if performing many seals consecutively to prolong the life of the sealing strip.
