4. Setup Instructions
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the smoke purifier from its packaging. Retain all packaging materials for future transport or storage.
- Placement: Place the unit on a stable, level surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper airflow and maintenance access.
- Arm Installation: Insert the flexible extraction arms into the designated ports on the top of the unit. Ensure they are securely fitted.
- Nozzle Adjustment: Position the nozzles of the extraction arms close to the source of fumes (e.g., soldering point) for optimal capture. The flexible pipes can be adjusted to various angles and positions.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the unit and then to a suitable 220V EU PLUG power outlet.
- Initial Filter Check: Before first use, ensure all three filter layers (Pre-filter, Middle filter, Main filter) are correctly installed in their respective compartments. Refer to the 'Maintenance' section for filter orientation.
5. Operating Instructions
- Power On: Press the power button on the control panel to turn on the unit. The LCD screen will illuminate.
- Adjust Air Volume: Use the control knob on the panel to adjust the air volume and suction power according to your needs. Start with a lower setting and increase as required for effective fume extraction.
- Positioning: During operation, ensure the extraction nozzles are positioned as close as possible to the fume source to maximize capture efficiency.
- Monitoring: Observe the LCD display for any alerts, such as a filter blockage alarm, which indicates that a filter needs inspection or replacement.
- Power Off: After use, press the power button to turn off the unit.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of your ATTEN ST-1202 smoke purifier. Pay close attention to filter replacement schedules.
6.1 Filter System Overview
The unit utilizes a triple-layer filtration system:
- Pre-filter: Captures larger particles.
- Middle filter: Captures medium-sized particles.
- Main filter: Captures fine particles and absorbs harmful gases.

Figure 4: Filter layers and recommended replacement cycles.
6.2 Filter Replacement
The sequence of filters must be subject to the right diagram. Disorganization is strictly forbidden. The relatively dense side of the pre-filter faces down.
Suggested Replacement Cycles:
- Pre-filter: Every 10-15 days
- Middle filter: Every 3-6 months
- Main filter: Every 6-9 months
Remark: The actual replacement cycles of filters shall be subject to the pollution levels of different sites and usage frequency. The unit's filter blockage alarm will also indicate when a filter needs attention.
6.3 Cleaning
Regularly wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the unit is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
