Thank you for purchasing the Tuya Smart Wi-Fi Security Camera. This manual provides detailed instructions to help you set up, operate, and maintain your new device. With its advanced features like 1080p HD video, two-way audio, motion detection, and real-time alerts, this camera is designed to keep your home, baby, or pets secure and connected.

Setup Guide

1. What's in the Box

• Smart Camera ×1

• 3M Adhesive ×1 (Optional, depending on model)

Note: Different product packages may have varying accessories. Please refer to your physical packing list.

2. Before You Start

• Ensure you know your Wi-Fi network name and password.
• Your mobile device should be running iOS® 9 or higher or Android™ 4.1x or higher.
• Connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. (Note: Models Z1-P3S2W and Z2-P3S2W can connect to 2.4GHz or 5GHz networks).

3. Download and Register the TuyaSmart App

1. Download the TuyaSmart app from the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play (for Android).
2. Open the TuyaSmart app.
3. Tap "Register" and follow the on-screen prompts to create a new account using your mobile phone number or email address.
4. Enter the verification code sent to your registered contact and set a password.

4. Device Connection

1. Plug in: Connect the camera to a power source using the provided USB cable and adapter.
2. Reset Device (if necessary): Press the Reset Button (as shown in Pic 1 in Figure 3) for several seconds until the camera starts to beep.
3. Add Device in App:
   • Open the TuyaSmart APP.
   • Click "+" on the top right corner of the "HOME" page.
   • Select "Smart Camera" from the device list.
   • Ensure the indicator light on the device is flashing red quickly, then press "Next Step" in the app.
   • Enter your Wi-Fi network name and password, then click "OK".
   • The app will instruct you to "Scan with the camera". Click "Continue".
   • Scan the QR Code displayed on your phone screen with the camera lens. Hold the phone 15-20cm away from the camera.
   • Once you hear a prompt tone from the camera, click "Heard the beep" in the app.
   • When the indicator light on the device turns from flashing red to steady green, the network configuration is complete.
4. Optional: Insert a Micro SD card (up to 128GB, not included) into the designated slot as shown in Pic 2 in Figure 3.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the camera, gently wipe the lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or aerosol cleaners, as these may damage the device.

Storage

• Micro SD Card: The camera supports up to a 128GB Micro SD card (not included) for local storage. Ensure the card is inserted correctly.
• Cloud Storage: Cloud storage is available as a charged service, providing a secure and convenient way to store your recordings.
• When not in use for extended periods, store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Can I share the camera with family and friends?

  Yes, you can share your cameras with family and friends who will have access to view the camera and control other connected devices. In the app, go to "Profile" then "Home Management" to manage sharing permissions. The other user must have the app downloaded and an account registered.
• What is the wireless range?

  The wireless range depends heavily on your home router and environmental conditions. Refer to your router's specifications for exact range data.

• How many cameras can I control?

  The TuyaSmart app can control an unlimited number of devices in an unlimited number of locations. Your router, however, may have a limit on the number of devices that can be connected to it.

• My device cannot connect to the network with the app.
  • Ensure the device is in configuration status (indicator light flashing quickly).
  • Verify that Wi-Fi is available and the camera is not too far from the router.
  • Double-check that the Wi-Fi password entered is correct.
• My device shows offline in the app.
  • Make sure the device is powered on.
  • Ensure the network is stable and the Wi-Fi name and password have not been modified. If they have, you may need to add the device again.
  • If the network is normal but the device is still offline, check if there are too many Wi-Fi connections. You can try restarting your router to refresh the device's status.

• ONVIF Compatibility: The camera is ONVIF compatible. This feature can be activated through the SmartLife app.

• SD Card: Remember that the Micro SD card for local storage is not included and needs to be purchased separately.
