7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- SD Card Management: Regularly check the status of your MicroSD card through the app. While the camera supports loop recording, it's good practice to back up important footage periodically. Format the SD card occasionally to maintain optimal performance.
- Firmware Updates: Check the "iWF Cam" app periodically for any available firmware updates for your camera. Keeping the firmware updated ensures the best performance and security features.
8. Troubleshooting
- No Audio / Audio Issues:
- Ensure the two-way intercom feature is enabled in the "iWF Cam" app settings.
- Check the camera's speaker holes (4) and microphone for any obstructions.
- Verify that the "iWF Cam" app has microphone access permissions on your smartphone.
- Connectivity Issues (WiFi):
- Ensure the camera is within the effective WiFi connection distance (up to 20 meters) from your router.
- Check the WiFi signal strength in the app.
- Restart the camera and your WiFi router.
- If problems persist, try reconfiguring the WiFi settings within the "iWF Cam" app.
- Recording Problems:
- Verify that a MicroSD card is properly inserted into the SD card slot (1) and has sufficient free space.
- Check if loop recording is enabled in the app settings.
- If issues persist, try formatting the SD card through the app (ensure you back up any important data first).
- Night Vision Unclear:
- Ensure the night vision lights (6) are not obstructed.
- Gently clean the camera lens (7).
- Note that the optimal infrared night vision range is within 2 meters.
9. User Tips
- Versatile Mounting: The camera's standard 1/4 screw thread makes it highly adaptable. Experiment with different mounting accessories like tripods, selfie sticks, or helmet mounts to suit various monitoring needs, whether for home security, outdoor activities, or pet monitoring.
- Continuous Monitoring: For uninterrupted surveillance, especially in areas with consistent power access, connect the camera to a continuous power source using its Type-C interface. This allows the camera to record while charging, extending its operational time indefinitely.
- Interactive Communication: Leverage the two-way intercom feature to its full potential. It's not just for security; use it to check in with family members, comfort pets, or even deter unwanted visitors remotely, providing a more interactive and responsive monitoring experience.
