7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Ctronics Pro app for available firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance and security.
- Power Cycle: If the camera experiences issues, try unplugging it from the power source for a few seconds and then plugging it back in.
- Reset to Factory Settings: If persistent issues occur, use the reset button (refer to product overview for location) to restore the camera to its factory default settings. Note that this will erase all configurations.
8. Troubleshooting
- Q: The camera is not connecting to my 5GHz WiFi network.
- A: While the camera supports 5GHz, it is recommended for use when the camera is close to the router due to 5GHz's shorter range. If you experience connectivity issues, try connecting to a 2.4GHz network, especially if the camera is further from the router. Ensure your router is configured correctly for both bands.
- Q: Can I use this camera outdoors?
- A: The Ctronics 710C is primarily designed as an indoor camera. Although it has an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance, it is not recommended for prolonged exposure to harsh outdoor weather conditions. For dedicated outdoor surveillance, consider Ctronics outdoor-specific models.
- Q: Is the camera compatible with NVR systems or ONVIF?
- A: Yes, the camera supports standard ONVIF protocols and is compatible with NVR systems for integration into existing surveillance setups.
- Q: The auto-tracking feature is not working.
- A: The automatic tracking setting is disabled by default. Please enable the auto-tracking button or setting within the Ctronics Pro app.
- Q: The image quality is not 4K/8MP.
- A: Ensure you have purchased the 8MP version of the camera. Also, check your app settings to confirm the video resolution is set to the highest available quality (e.g., 4K or 8MP). Network bandwidth can also affect streaming quality.
- Q: The camera is not recording to the SD card.
- A: Ensure a TF (microSD) card is properly inserted into the slot and that it is formatted correctly (usually FAT32). Check the recording settings in the Ctronics Pro app to ensure continuous recording or event-triggered recording is enabled.
