1. Safety Measures

Thank you for choosing our car multimedia system. To ensure effective and safe use, please read and adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Driving Safety: It is strictly forbidden to watch videos or use other visual accessories that may distract you while driving. Active use of the system while driving is not recommended as it can lead to reduced attention and potential road accidents.
  • Power Supply: This unit is designed for use in cars with a 12V DC power supply and a negative ground. Do not install the system in vehicles with a 24V on-board voltage, as this may cause severe damage and will void the warranty.
  • Screen Care: Use only a specialized cleaning device to clean the screen. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Temperature Guidelines: To prevent overheating, avoid direct exposure to sunlight and do not install the unit near heating systems. The optimal operating temperature is between 0°C and 35°C. If the vehicle's interior temperature is too high or too low, allow it to normalize before operating the system. Extreme temperatures can affect display performance.
  • Installation: Use only the fasteners (screws, mounting frames, etc.) provided for installation. The use of other fasteners may cause damage. Installation and connection of the device should be performed by a qualified specialist or trained service personnel.
  • Factory Settings: Do not reset the device to factory settings on your own unless absolutely necessary, as this will result in loss of your personalized settings and may lead to incorrect operation.
  • Warranty: Violation of these safety measures and improper use may cause the system to malfunction, in which case warranty service will not be performed.

4. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance. It is highly recommended that installation be performed by a qualified professional.

4.1. Connection Diagrams

Refer to the following diagrams for detailed wiring instructions. Ensure all connections are secure and correct to prevent device malfunctions.

Back of Host Device Wiring Diagram

Figure 4.1: Back of the host device wiring diagram for M200S-M800S models, showing GPS, 5G WiFi, Radio, 4G Antenna, USB, Cooling fan, Canbus connection, and Coxail/Fiber optic ports.

For a comprehensive pinout diagram, refer to the 'Device connector pinout diagram' section in the PDF manual (page 11).

4.2. CANBus Box Setup

If your car's original functions (e.g., steering wheel control) are not working, a CANBus box may be required. Follow these steps:

  1. Check your specific CANBus photo and select the corresponding CANBus type in the device settings.
  2. For models like TS7, T3L, TS18, TS10, M100, M150, Y1, Y2, TS100, TS150, TS200, connect the CANBus box as shown in the provided diagram.
  3. Navigate to Settings > Car Settings > Factory (Password: 8888) to configure the CANBus settings.
CANBus Box Selection and Cooling Fan

Figure 4.2: Example of CANBus box types and cooling fan integration.

4.3. Rear Camera Connection

Connecting a rear camera enhances safety during reversing. The method varies slightly depending on whether you use a CANBus box:

  • Without CANBus Box: Connect the reversing mode control, reverse light power supply (12V), and ground to the appropriate ports.
  • With CANBus Box: The wiring is often simplified. The yellow line connection for reverse detection may not be needed if the CANBus box handles this signal. Ensure the camera's power supply (red wires) is connected correctly.

9. User Tips

Based on common user inquiries and experiences, here are some helpful tips:

  • Vehicle Compatibility: While this is a universal unit, always verify the dimensions of the head unit (e.g., 9-inch: 227x130mm, 10-inch: 251x146mm) and screw hole distances against your car's dashboard opening. Specific fascia adapters may be required for a perfect fit in certain car models (e.g., Hyundai i30, Toyota Fortuna, Camry, Honda Civic, Skoda Fabia, Nissan Rogue, Dacia Logan, Volkswagen Gol).
  • 360 Camera Functionality: If the 360-degree view is not working, ensure that the unit purchased includes the "built-in 360 Camera Chip" as it is an optional feature. Without this chip on the motherboard, the function will not operate.
  • Wiring Considerations: Depending on your car's existing system (e.g., with or without CANBus), additional wiring or specific cable connections might be necessary for full functionality, such as steering wheel controls or rear cameras. Always consult the detailed connection diagrams provided.
  • Language Support: The device supports multiple national languages. If your desired language (e.g., Arabic) is not displayed, check the language settings menu to select it.
