4. Setup Guide

4.1 Charging Station Placement

Place the charging station against a wall in an open area, ensuring there are no obstacles within 1 meter (3 feet) to the sides and 2 meters (6 feet) in front. Connect the power adapter to the charging station and plug it into a power outlet. Ensure the charging station is always powered on.

4.2 Initial Charging

Place the L9000 robot onto the charging station. The robot will automatically align and begin charging. For first-time use, fully charge the robot before operation. The indicator lights on the robot will show charging status.

4.3 App Connection (Tuya Smart App)

  1. Download the 'Tuya Smart' app from your smartphone's app store.
  2. Register or log in to your Tuya Smart account.
  3. Ensure your home Wi-Fi network is 2.4Ghz. The L9000 does not support 5Ghz Wi-Fi.
  4. Follow the in-app instructions to add your L9000 robot vacuum. This typically involves putting the robot into pairing mode (refer to the Quick Start Guide for specific button presses) and connecting it to your Wi-Fi network via the app.

4.4 Initial Mapping

Once connected to the app, initiate a full cleaning cycle. The L9000 will use its 360° LiDAR navigation to scan your home and create an accurate map. This map will be saved in the app, allowing for customized cleaning schedules and zone management.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Starting/Pausing Cleaning

  • Via Robot Buttons: Press the power button on the robot to start or pause a cleaning cycle.
  • Via Tuya Smart App: Open the app, select your L9000, and tap 'Start' or 'Pause'.
  • Via Voice Control: Use commands like "Alexa, turn on the robot" or "Hey Google, start cleaning with L9000" (ensure integration is set up in the app).

5.2 Cleaning Modes and Settings

The Tuya Smart App allows for comprehensive customization:

  • Cleaning Modes: Select from various modes (e.g., Auto, Spot, Edge).
  • Suction Level: Adjust suction power (Low, Medium, High) based on floor type and debris. The L9000 offers up to 4000Pa suction.
  • Water Outlet Level: For mopping, choose from 3 adjustable water flow levels.
  • Scheduled Cleaning: Set specific times for the robot to clean automatically.
  • Zone Cleaning: Define specific areas on the map for targeted cleaning.
  • No-Go Zones & Virtual Walls: Draw virtual boundaries on the map to prevent the robot from entering certain areas (up to 14 zones). This is useful for delicate items, pet areas, or areas you don't want mopped.

5.3 Mopping Function

To use the mopping function:

  1. Fill the water tank (250ML capacity) with clean water.
  2. Attach a clean mopping cloth to the mopping cloth holder and then attach it to the robot.
  3. Select the desired water flow level in the Tuya Smart App.
  4. Start a cleaning cycle. The robot will vacuum and mop simultaneously.

5.4 Auto-Return and Self-Charging

The L9000 will automatically return to its charging station when the battery is low or when a cleaning cycle is complete. Ensure the charging station is accessible and powered on.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of your Tikom L9000. Always power off the robot before performing any maintenance.

6.1 Emptying the Dust Bin

After each cleaning cycle, or when indicated by the app, remove and empty the 300ML dust bin. Tap out debris and wipe the interior with a dry cloth.

6.2 Cleaning the Water Tank and Mopping Cloth

After each mopping session, empty any remaining water from the 250ML water tank. Remove the mopping cloth, rinse it thoroughly, and allow it to air dry. Replace the mopping cloth regularly for best results.

6.3 Cleaning Filters

Remove the HEPA filter and sponge from the dust bin. Tap them gently to remove dust. Do not wash the HEPA filter with water. Replace filters every 3-6 months, or more frequently depending on usage.

6.4 Cleaning Side Brushes and Main Brush

Regularly check the side brushes and main brush for tangled hair or debris. Use the provided cleaning brush or scissors to remove any obstructions. Replace worn-out side brushes as needed.

6.5 Cleaning Sensors and Charging Contacts

Wipe the cliff sensors, wall sensors, and charging contacts on both the robot and the charging station with a clean, dry cloth. This ensures proper navigation and charging.

If you encounter issues with your L9000, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
