  1. Power On/Off

  2. Adjust Microphone Position

The gooseneck design allows for flexible adjustment. Bend the gooseneck to position the microphone head approximately 6-12 inches (15-30 cm) from your mouth for optimal sound capture. Avoid pointing the microphone directly into strong air currents or placing it too close to sound sources that might cause distortion.

  3. Computer Audio Settings

After connecting the microphone, you may need to select it as the default input device in your computer's sound settings. Navigate to your operating system's sound preferences and choose the connected microphone as the input source. Adjust the input volume level as needed.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the microphone and base. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these can damage the device.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the microphone in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Replacement: If the microphone's performance degrades or the indicator light does not illuminate, replace the 1.5AA batteries in the base.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Sound Output:

    • Ensure the microphone is powered ON (check the switch and indicator light).
    • Verify that fresh 1.5AA batteries are correctly inserted in the base.
    • Check all cable connections: ensure the gooseneck is firmly seated in the base and the audio cable is securely connected to both the base and your computer's microphone input.
    • Confirm that the microphone is selected as the default input device in your computer's sound settings and that the input volume is not muted or set too low.
  • Poor Sound Quality / Distortion:

    • Adjust the microphone's position. It should be 6-12 inches from the speaker, not too close or too far.
    • Check for environmental noise or interference.
    • Ensure the input volume on your computer is not set too high, which can cause clipping or distortion.
    • Test with another audio input port or computer if possible to rule out device-specific issues.

8. User Tips

  • Optimal Placement: For best sound quality, position the microphone directly in front of the speaker, about 6-12 inches away. This helps capture clear vocals and minimizes background noise.
  • Software Volume Control: Always check and adjust the microphone input level in your computer's sound settings or recording software. Too low, and your voice will be faint; too high, and it may distort.
  • Battery Life: To extend battery life, always switch the microphone to 'OFF' when not in active use. Consider keeping spare 1.5AA batteries on hand for uninterrupted use.
  • Cable Management: Ensure the audio cable is not tangled or under strain, which could lead to connection issues or damage over time.
