4.2 25+ Maintenance Services
The NT650 Pro offers a wide array of maintenance and reset functions. Please note that service functions are primarily designed for imported vehicles, and compatibility with domestic vehicles may be limited. Always consult the manufacturer for specific vehicle compatibility before performing these services.

Figure 6: 25+ Maintenance Functions
- Oil Service Reset: Resets the service lamps on the instrument cluster after an oil change.
- EPB (Electronic Parking Brake): Performs service and maintenance of brake systems, including deactivation/activation of the brake control system, bleeding brake fluid, opening/closing brake pads, and setting brakes after disc or pad replacement.
- BRT (Battery Replacement): Validates new battery, clears faults from the dashboard, and displays battery information.
- DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter Regeneration): Initiates DPF cleaning to clear blockages by burning particulates. The DPF light goes off automatically upon completion.
- TBA/TPS (Throttle Body Alignment): Learns the full open and full closed positions of the throttle body through various states.
- SAS (Steering Angle Sensor Calibration): Calibrates the Steering Angle Sensor.
- TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System Programming): Checks tire sensor IDs from the vehicle ECU and performs TPMS programming and reset after tire/sensor replacement or rotation.

4.3 ABS/SRS Code Reader & Bidirectional Control Test
The NT650 Pro is capable of diagnosing and performing bidirectional control tests on ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) systems.
- For ABS System: Diagnoses ABS problems by reading ECU information, live data, and fault codes. It can clear ABS system fault codes and turn off the trouble indicator after repairs.
- For SRS System: Detects electronic parameters of the SRS system (impact sensors, control module, airbags) to check its health status. It can read ECU information, live data, and fault codes, and turn off the trouble indicator after repairs.
- Bi-directional Active Test: This advanced feature allows you to command components to pinpoint faults. For example, you can perform an ABS manual control test, ABS motor test, or other actuator tests. This helps to temporarily activate or control components, enabling more accurate problem identification.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Software Updates
The NT650 Pro offers lifetime free software updates via Wi-Fi. Regularly updating your device ensures you have the latest vehicle coverage, bug fixes, and diagnostic capabilities. Follow the steps in Section 3.3 to perform updates.
5.2 General Care
- Keep the device clean and free from dust and moisture. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
- Store the device in its protective carrying bag when not in use to prevent damage.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself, as this will void the warranty.
6. Troubleshooting
- Device does not power on: Ensure the OBDII cable is securely connected to both the scanner and the vehicle's OBDII port. Verify the vehicle's ignition is on.
- No communication with vehicle: Check all cable connections. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is on. Verify the vehicle is OBDII compliant (most vehicles manufactured after 1996 in the US, 2001 in the EU for gasoline, and 2004 for diesel).
- Specific maintenance function not working: Many advanced maintenance and reset functions are primarily designed for imported vehicles. Compatibility with domestic vehicles can be limited. Always verify compatibility for your specific vehicle model, engine, and year of manufacture before attempting these functions.
- Update issues: Ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection. If updates fail, try restarting the device and your Wi-Fi router, then attempt the update again.
