8. Troubleshooting
- Bulb Not Lighting Up:
- Check all connections to ensure they are secure.
- Verify that the vehicle's power supply is functioning correctly.
- Ensure the bulb type matches your vehicle's requirements.
- Flickering or Dim Lights:
- This could indicate an unstable power supply or a CANBUS incompatibility issue. Some vehicles may require an additional CANBUS decoder to prevent flickering or error messages.
- Ensure the voltage is 12V; these bulbs are not designed for 24V systems.
- Error Message on Dashboard (CANBUS Error):
- Modern vehicles with CANBUS systems may detect the lower power draw of LED bulbs as a fault. An external CANBUS decoder (load resistor) may be necessary to resolve this.
- Incompatible Fitment:
- Ensure you have selected the correct bulb type (e.g., H7, H4, H11) for your specific vehicle model and year. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual or a reliable automotive bulb guide.
9. User Tips
- Verify Compatibility: Before purchasing, always double-check your vehicle's required bulb type (e.g., H7, H4, H11, 9005, 9006, 9012) and confirm that the CARLitek bulbs are suitable for your specific make, model, and year.
- Check Voltage: These bulbs are designed for 12V DC systems. Do not attempt to use them in 24V systems.
- CANBUS Consideration: For vehicles with sensitive CANBUS systems (e.g., some VW Passat models), be prepared to install an additional CANBUS decoder if dashboard error messages or flickering occur.
- Installation Ease: The mini-size and built-in driver are designed for straightforward installation, often eliminating the need for external ballasts or complex wiring.
