Setup and Installation
Power Supply
The UFO-R11 is powered by two AA alkaline batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment, insert the batteries, and close the cover. Ensure correct polarity.

ZigBee Gateway Requirement
A Tuya wired ZigBee gateway (hub) is required for the UFO-R11 to function. This smart IR remote is not compatible with wireless ZigBee hubs. Ensure your wired gateway is properly set up and connected to your Wi-Fi router.

Network Distribution (Pairing)
- The product is shipped with its default network configuration.
- After installing the batteries and powering on the device, the network distribution indicator will flash quickly, indicating it is waiting for network distribution.
- Connect your mobile phone to the same network as your ZigBee gateway.
- Open the Hongshi Smart or SmartLife APP and navigate to the gateway's interface.
- Add a search device within the gateway APP interface.
- Press the "Add" button for the device, then proceed to the "Add Remote Controller" interface.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add the device according to its category and brand.
- Once completed, the device will be successfully added to your smart home system.
Operating Instructions
Universal Control via App
The UFO-R11 transforms your smartphone into a universal remote control for over 5000 IR appliances. Use the SmartLife or Hongshi Smart APP to manage all your IR devices from a single interface.

IR Learning Function (DIY)
For appliances not found in the cloud-based code library, the UFO-R11 supports an IR learning function. This allows you to customize buttons within the Smart Life APP by manually learning signals from your original remote controllers.

Voice Control Integration

Troubleshooting
Resetting the Device
If you encounter issues with network connectivity or device functionality, you can perform a reset:
- Locate the reset button inside the battery compartment.
- Press and hold the reset button for 3 seconds.
- The product will enter the state of waiting for network distribution, and the LED indicator will start to flash quickly.
- If the red indicator flashes several times after holding the button for 5 seconds, the reset is successful.
LED Indicator Status
- Blinking: The device is waiting to be connected to the network.
- Always Off: The device is successfully connected to the network.
- Steady On: Wi-Fi information has been configured, but the device cannot connect to the network. Check your network connection and gateway status.
User Tips
- Wired Gateway Essential: Remember that the UFO-R11 requires a wired Tuya ZigBee gateway. It is not compatible with wireless ZigBee hubs. Ensure your gateway is wired for proper functionality.
- Optimal Placement: For best performance, place the UFO-R11 in a central location within the room where the IR-controlled appliances are located. Ensure there are no significant physical obstructions between the remote and the appliances to maximize the infrared control distance.
- Battery Life: To prolong battery life, consider using high-quality alkaline batteries. If the device is unresponsive, check and replace the batteries first.
