Setup
1. Mounting the Outdoor Unit
Choose a suitable location for the outdoor unit, ensuring it is within reach of wiring and provides a clear view of visitors. Use the provided screws and wall plugs to securely mount the unit. The IP65 rating allows for outdoor exposure.

2. Wiring Connections
Connect the outdoor unit to your indoor monitor screen and power supply according to the wiring diagram. Ensure all connections are secure before powering on the system.

The wiring typically includes connections for video, audio, power (DC-IN), and lock control (Lock, GND, NO, NC, COM).
3. Initial Power-Up and Resolution Setting
After connecting the door machine to the screen and plugging it in, you may need to adjust the video signal type (CVBS/720P/1080P) to match your indoor monitor. This is crucial for displaying an image.
Video 1: Demonstration on how to change the 4-wire video intercom's resolution (AHD1080P/AHD720P/CVBS).
To change the resolution:
- Ensure the outdoor unit is connected to the indoor monitor and powered on.
- Carefully unscrew and remove the rain cover and then the plastic cover from the top right corner of the outdoor unit to access the internal settings button.
- Locate the small "Settings" button inside the unit.
- Press and hold this button for 6-10 seconds. You should hear two distinct "whispers" or beeps. Wait until the second sound is finished before releasing. This action cycles through the available resolutions (AHD1080P, AHD720P, CVBS).
- Observe the indoor monitor to see if the image appears clearly. Repeat the long press if necessary to cycle to the correct resolution for your monitor.
Operating Instructions
1. Making a Call
When a visitor presses the Call Button on the outdoor unit, the indoor monitor will ring, and the video feed from the outdoor unit will be displayed.
2. Two-Way Communication
Answer the call from the indoor monitor to establish two-way audio communication with the visitor.
3. Door Unlocking
If connected to an electronic lock, you can unlock the door directly from the indoor monitor. The unlock time can be adjusted via the button on the back of the outdoor unit (refer to Figure 3).
4. RFID Access
For convenient entry, authorized users can swipe their RFID cards over the Swipe Card IR Sensor on the outdoor unit to unlock the door.

5. Adjusting Volume
The volume of the outdoor unit's speaker can be adjusted using the Volume Button located on the back panel (refer to Figure 3).
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the camera lens and front panel with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear or damage.
- Environmental Protection: While IP65 rated, ensure the unit is not submerged in water or exposed to direct high-pressure water jets.
Troubleshooting
No Image on Indoor Monitor
If your indoor monitor is set to PAL 1080P (or another resolution) but you are not receiving an image from the outdoor unit, follow these steps:
- First, check the settings on your indoor monitor. Ensure the monitor's signal mode is correctly configured (e.g., PAL, NTSC, AHD, CVBS).
- Adjust the outdoor unit's video signal type by pressing the internal settings button (as described in "Setup - Initial Power-Up and Resolution Setting") until a clear image appears on the monitor.
- If still no image, try adjusting the bell, silent, or message mode settings on the indoor monitor.
- Finally, re-adjust the resolution button on the back of the outdoor unit.
Ensure the outdoor unit is properly powered and all cables are securely connected.
RFID Card Not Working
- Ensure the RFID card is correctly programmed with the system. Refer to your indoor monitor's manual for RFID card programming instructions.
- Verify that the card is being swiped correctly over the sensor area.
User Tips
- When setting up, always connect the outdoor unit to the indoor monitor before powering on both devices to ensure proper signal detection.
- If using RFID access, it's advisable to keep a master card or a record of programmed cards for easier management and troubleshooting.
- For optimal night vision performance, ensure there are no obstructions directly in front of the camera lens.
- If you experience issues with RFID functionality, verify the frequency of your RFID cards is compatible with the intercom system.
