This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your EARUELETRIC Tuya Smart Circuit Breaker. This device offers advanced protection features, energy monitoring, and smart control capabilities via the Tuya/Smart Life app, as well as voice control through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

2. Safety Information

  • Installation and maintenance should only be performed by qualified electricians.
  • Ensure the main power supply is turned off before any installation or wiring work.
  • The device must be wired correctly with both live (L) and neutral (N) lines entering from the top.
  • This product does not possess isolation functionality. It lacks short-circuit protection, thus requiring the installation of a circuit breaker at the upstream level for safe wiring.
  • Do not operate the device with wet hands.
  • Keep the device away from water and high humidity environments.

5. Installation

5.1 Wiring Instructions

Important: Power must enter from the top and must be a live line + neutral (L+N). This product does not provide isolation functionality and lacks short-circuit protection. An upstream circuit breaker is required for safe wiring.

5.2 Mounting

The smart circuit breaker is designed for 35MM Din Rail installation. It can be directly installed in a household lighting distribution box.

6. Setup (App Pairing)

To utilize the smart features, you need to pair the device with the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app on your mobile phone.

  1. Download and install the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app from your mobile app store (Android/iOS).
  2. Register or log in to your account.
  3. Ensure the circuit breaker is powered on.
  4. Press and hold the 'Pair Button' on the circuit breaker for approximately 5-10 seconds until the indicator light starts blinking rapidly, indicating pairing mode.
  5. Open the app, tap 'Add Device' (usually a '+' icon), and select the appropriate device type (e.g., 'Switch (Wi-Fi)' or 'Switch (Zigbee)' depending on your model and gateway).
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the device to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. (Note: 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported).
  7. Once successfully added, you can rename the device and start controlling it.

7. Operation

7.1 Manual Control

You can manually turn the circuit breaker ON or OFF using the push button switch on the device itself.

7.2 Remote Control via App

Once paired with the Tuya/Smart Life app, you can remotely control the ON/OFF state of the circuit breaker from anywhere with an internet connection. The app also provides real-time status updates.

7.3 Energy Monitoring

The app allows you to view real-time electricity statistics, including total kWh, daily kWh, current power (W), voltage (V), and current (A). You can also review historical data by day, month, or year.

7.4 Timing and Scheduling

Set up various timing modes through the app:

  • Schedule: Turn the device ON/OFF at specific times.
  • Sunrise/Sunset: Automatically turn ON/OFF before/after sunrise or sunset.
  • Circulate: Turn ON/OFF repeatedly during a set period.
  • Countdown: Set a timer for the device to turn ON/OFF after a specified duration.

7.5 Voice Control

Integrate your smart circuit breaker with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for hands-free voice control. Simply connect the device to your smart speaker and use commands like "Alexa, Turn On Bedroom Light" or "Google, Turn On The Living Room Light."

7.6 Protection Settings (Adjustable Alerts)

The device offers multi-layer protection with adjustable thresholds for various parameters. You can set these thresholds in the app's alarm settings. If a threshold is exceeded, the device can automatically trip (turn off) to protect your appliances and home.

  • High Temperature: Set threshold range 40-150℃.
  • High Power: Set threshold range 1-26KW.
  • Over-Current: Set threshold range 1-63A.
  • Over-Voltage: Set threshold range 220-265V.
  • Under-Voltage: Set threshold range 76-240V.

7.7 Power Failure Memory Mode

The device is designed to retain data after a power failure and automatically return to its pre-power failure state when power is restored. You can configure the relay status (OFF, ON, Memory) in the app settings.

8. Maintenance

The EARUELETRIC Smart Circuit Breaker is designed for long-term, reliable operation with minimal maintenance. However, regular checks are recommended:

  • Periodically inspect the wiring connections to ensure they are secure.
  • Keep the device clean and free from dust and debris. Use a dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
  • If the device is not responding, check the power supply and your Wi-Fi/Zigbee connection.

Maintenance Lock:

The app includes a 'Maintenance Lock' feature. Power off the device or press the button 4 times to release the maintenance lock. This can prevent accidental operation during maintenance.

9. Troubleshooting

  • Device not pairing: Ensure the device is in pairing mode (blinking indicator light). Check your Wi-Fi network (must be 2.4GHz). Ensure your mobile device is close to the circuit breaker during pairing.
  • Remote control not working: Verify your internet connection and the device's connection status in the app.
  • Device trips unexpectedly: Check the protection settings in the app. One of the set thresholds (current, power, voltage, temperature) might have been exceeded. Review the alarm log in the app for details.
  • Voice control issues: Ensure the device is correctly linked to your Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant account. Check your smart speaker's internet connection.
  • No power to load: Check the manual ON/OFF button on the device. Verify the upstream circuit breaker is ON. Inspect wiring for loose connections.
