Powering the Mixer

Connecting Audio Sources

  1. Microphones/Instruments: Connect microphones (XLR) or line-level instruments (1/4-inch TRS) to channels 1-6.
  2. Phantom Power: For condenser microphones, activate the 48V phantom power switch on the respective channel. Ensure dynamic microphones are not connected when 48V is active.

6. Operating Instructions

Basic Audio Mixing

  1. Gain Adjustment (TRIM): Adjust the TRIM knob for each input channel to achieve a healthy signal level without clipping (the PEAK LED should only flash occasionally).
  2. Equalization (EQ): Use the HIGH and LOW knobs to shape the tone of each channel.
  3. Effect Send (EFF): Turn the EFF knob to send a portion of the channel's signal to the built-in DSP effects processor.
  4. Channel Level (LEVEL): Adjust the LEVEL knob to control the volume of each channel in the main mix.
  5. Main Output Level: Use the MAIN OUT fader to control the overall volume of the mix.

Using DSP Effects

The BMG-08F features 24 DSP effects. Use the EFF knob on each channel to send signal to the effects processor, and the Master Reverb Control to adjust the overall effect level.

Bluetooth Connectivity

  1. Press the 'BT' button on the mixer's display section to activate Bluetooth mode.
  2. On your mobile device, search for 'BMG-08F' in the Bluetooth settings and connect.
  3. Once connected, you can stream audio wirelessly from your device to the mixer.
  4. Use the Sound Source Switch button to select Bluetooth playback.

USB Playback and Recording

  1. USB Playback: Insert a USB flash drive with MP3 files into the USB port. The mixer will automatically detect and play the audio. Use the controls on the display for playback (REC, Play/Pause, Next/Previous, Mode).
  2. Recording to PC/MAC:
    1. Dial the button on the back of the BMG-08F to the "PC" end.
    2. Connect the mixer to your PC/MAC using a USB cable.
    3. No driver is needed. The device will be identified as "JieLi BR21" on your computer.
    4. Enjoy recording and audio editing using your preferred software.

Live Broadcast on Mobile

To broadcast live on your mobile device, you will need a USB cable and an OTG (On-The-Go) converter (not included). Connect the mixer's USB output to your phone via the appropriate OTG converter (USB to 3.5mm, USB to Type-C, or USB to Lightning).

  • Recording Issues: Verify the mixer is switched to "PC" mode on the back. Check your computer's audio input settings to ensure "JieLi BR21" is selected as the input device.
  • Distorted Sound: Reduce the TRIM gain for the input channel. Check that the PEAK LED is not constantly lit. Lower the overall MAIN OUT level.
