9. Troubleshooting

Device not powering on:
Check the main circuit breaker. Ensure wiring is correct and secure. Verify input voltage is within the specified range (AC 140-300V).
WiFi indicator not blinking/device not connecting to app:
Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz WiFi signal. 5GHz networks are not supported. Move the device closer to the router. Re-enter WiFi configuration mode by long-pressing the Down arrow button for 5 seconds. Check app permissions.
Device trips frequently:
Check the current load on the circuit. It might be exceeding the set over-current protection value. Review and adjust over-voltage, under-voltage, or leakage protection settings if they are too sensitive for your application. Check for actual electrical faults.
Incorrect readings (voltage, current, kWh):
Use the calibration function in the manual settings or app to adjust voltage, current, or kW readings if you have a reference meter.
Cannot reset to factory settings:
The provided information does not detail a specific factory reset procedure. If encountering persistent issues, try re-pairing the device with the app, which often resets some settings. For advanced resets, consult TOMZN support.

10. User Tips

  • Network Compatibility: Always ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz. This is a common point of confusion for smart devices.
  • Voltage Compatibility: This device is designed for 230V systems. Do not attempt to use it with 110V systems unless explicitly stated for a specific model variant.
  • Prepaid Function: The prepaid function is useful for managing energy consumption in specific areas or for temporary setups where a kWh limit is desired.
  • Dual Line Cut-off: The ability to cut off both Live and Neutral lines provides an extra layer of safety, ensuring complete isolation of the circuit when tripped or switched off.
