1. Introduction
The RAYKUBE K01 is a smart door knob lock designed for enhanced security and convenience. It offers multiple unlocking methods including biometric fingerprint, mechanical key, and control via the Tuya Smart APP. With its IP54 waterproof rating, it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations. This manual provides detailed instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance of your K01 smart door lock.

2. Components List

3. Setup & Installation Guide
3.1 Tools Required
- Phillips screwdriver
- Tape measure
3.2 Check Door Dimensions
Before installation, verify your door's dimensions to ensure compatibility:
- Measure the door thickness: It should be between 1-3/8" and 2-1/8" (35-54mm).
- Measure the diameter of the hole in the door: It should be 2-1/8" (54mm).
- Measure the backset: It should be either 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm).
- Measure the diameter of the hole in the door edge: It should be 1" (25mm).

3.3 Install Latch and Strike
- Adjust the Latch backset to 60mm (2-3/8") or 70mm (2-3/4") to fit your door hole.
- Insert the Latch into the door hole and secure it with Screw A.
- Install the Striker Box and Striker Plate into the door frame using Screw A.

3.4 Install Exterior Knob & Interior Knob
- From the outside of the door, install the Exterior Knob (the lock body with Spindle and two Stems). Ensure the Spindle and Stems pass through the three holes of the Latch.
- Align the two stems of the Interior Knob with the screw holes. Connect the wire by inserting the connector into the socket.
- Tighten with Screw B to secure the Interior Knob.
3.5 Install Batteries
The lock is powered by 4 AAA batteries (not included in this package).
- Loosen the screw to remove the battery cover from the Interior Knob.
- Install 4 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Tighten the screw to fix the battery cover.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE LITHIUM BATTERIES OR RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Unlocking Methods
4.1.1 Fingerprint Unlock
Place your registered fingerprint on the sensor located on the exterior knob. The lock will unlock if the fingerprint is recognized.

4.1.2 Key Unlock
In case of emergency or battery depletion, you can use the mechanical key:
- Press the screw at the back of the Exterior Knob to reveal the fingerprint head cover.
- Pull out the fingerprint head cover.
- Insert the key and turn it 90° to unlock.
- Turn the Exterior Knob to open the door.

4.1.3 Tuya APP Unlock (Bluetooth)
The lock can be controlled via the Tuya Smart APP using Bluetooth connectivity.
- Download the Tuya Smart APP (refer to section 4.3).
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and keep it close to the lock.
- Open the APP and select the lock.
- Tap the unlock icon in the APP to unlock the door.
4.1.4 Tuya APP Remote Unlock (with Gateway)
For remote unlocking functionality, a B4 USB Bluetooth Gateway is required (sold separately). This gateway connects the lock to your Wi-Fi network, allowing remote control via the Tuya APP from anywhere.
- Connect the B4 USB Bluetooth Gateway to a power source and configure it with your Wi-Fi network via the Tuya APP.
- Ensure the gateway is within Bluetooth range of the K01 lock.
- Once connected, you can remotely unlock the door or generate temporary passwords through the Tuya APP.



4.2 Automatic Locking
The K01 smart door lock features an automatic locking function. After closing the door, the lock will automatically engage, eliminating the need to manually lock it.
4.3 Tuya Smart APP Operation Guide
4.3.1 Download the APP
Scan the QR code below or search "Tuya Smart" in the APP Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) to download and install the APP.

4.3.2 Register an Account
- On the login screen, press "Agree" and then "Sign Up".
- Choose your country, enter your email address to receive a verification code.
- Enter the verification code, set a password, select permissions, and press "Go to APP" to complete registration.
4.3.3 Add a Lock
- Turn on Bluetooth on your phone.
- Keep your phone close to the lock.
- Touch the fingerprint sensor on the lock.
- In the APP, press "Add Device" on the screen.
- Tap "Add" and "+" to finish adding the lock.
- Press the edit icon to rename the lock if needed. The lock is now ready for use via APP.
4.3.4 Lock or Unlock via APP
Hold and drag the key icon on the bottom left corner from left to right to unlock the door.
4.3.5 Member Management and Fingerprint Input
- Select "Member Management" on the screen.
- Press "Me" and follow the instructions to add fingerprints for other users.
- Tap "+" to add more members.
4.3.6 Create Smart Scenes
Select "Smart Scenes" on the screen and choose preferred scenes to set up intelligent interactions (e.g., Family Go Home, Door Lock Alarm).
4.3.7 Settings
Select "Settings" on the screen to:
- Turn on/off "Auto Lock".
- Set the Auto Lock time delay.
- Turn on/off "Do-Not-Disturb" mode.
4.3.8 Device Information Setup
Press the information icon on the top right corner of the screen to check and set up relevant information, including device details, tap-to-run automation, sharing, group creation, location, FAQ, and firmware updates.
4.4 Dual Mode Setting
The lock supports a Dual Mode Setting: Normally Open / Lock Mode. You can switch between these modes as needed.

4.4.1 Normally Open Mode
In Normally Open Mode, the door remains unlocked for convenient passage. You can open the door by pressing the handle directly without needing a fingerprint or key.

4.4.2 Lock Mode
In Lock Mode, the door is secured. To open, you must use an authorized fingerprint, mechanical key, or the Tuya APP.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Replacement
When the lock indicates low power (fingerprint head flashes green then red after unlocking), it's time to replace the batteries. Follow the steps in section 3.5 to replace the 4 AAA batteries.
5.2 Emergency Power Supply
If the batteries are completely depleted, you can temporarily power the lock using a power bank connected to the Type-C emergency charging port located on the exterior knob.

6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Low Power Indication
If the fingerprint head flashes green and then red after a successful unlock via fingerprint or APP, it indicates low battery. Replace the 4 AAA batteries immediately.
6.2 Fingerprint Not Recognized
- Ensure your finger is clean and dry.
- Try different angles or positions of your finger on the sensor.
- Re-register your fingerprint if issues persist (refer to section 4.3.5).
6.3 APP Connectivity Issues
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and you are within close proximity to the lock.
- Check if the B4 USB Bluetooth Gateway (if used) is properly connected to Wi-Fi and within range of the lock.
- Restart the Tuya Smart APP.
- Check your phone's network connection.
6.4 Restore Factory Settings
To reset the lock to its factory default settings:
- Press and hold the Setting Button in the Interior Knob for 8 seconds.
- The buzzer will beep once, and the fingerprint head will flash green, indicating a successful reset.

8. User Tips
- Battery Type: Always use new, non-lithium, non-rechargeable AAA batteries as specified in the manual. Using incorrect battery types may lead to inaccurate battery level readings or damage to the device.
- Battery Level: If the app shows 0% battery even with new batteries, double-check that you are using the correct type (non-lithium, non-rechargeable AAA) and that they are inserted with the correct polarity.
- Fingerprint Recognition: For optimal performance, ensure your finger and the fingerprint sensor are clean and dry when attempting to unlock.
- App Connectivity: If experiencing issues with the Tuya APP, ensure your phone's Bluetooth is on and you are close to the lock. If using the gateway, verify its Wi-Fi connection and proximity to the lock.
