5. Installation

5.1 Compatibility Check

5.2 Frame Selection

There are two types of frames (Type A and Type B) available, corresponding to different original car console designs. Please identify which frame type matches your vehicle's dashboard before proceeding with installation.

5.3 Wiring Diagram

Refer to the wiring diagram below for correct connections. Ensure all cables are securely connected to their respective ports. Improper wiring can lead to malfunction or damage.

5.4 General Installation Steps

  1. Disconnect Battery: Before starting, disconnect the vehicle's negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
  2. Remove Original Head Unit: Carefully remove the existing car radio and dashboard trim. Use the provided installation tools to avoid damaging the interior.
  3. Install New Frame: Mount the appropriate automotive frame (Type A or B) into the dashboard opening.
  4. Connect Wiring: Connect the power cable, RCA cables, USB cables, GPS antenna, and any optional accessories (rear camera, DVR, 4G cable) to the corresponding ports on the new head unit and your vehicle's wiring harness. Refer to the wiring diagram (Figure 8).
  5. Secure Head Unit: Slide the Srnubi head unit into the new frame and secure it.
  6. Test Functionality: Reconnect the battery. Turn on the vehicle and test all functions of the new head unit, including power, audio, touch screen, steering wheel controls, GPS, Bluetooth, and any connected accessories.
  7. Reassemble Dashboard: Once all functions are verified, reassemble the dashboard trim.

Note: If your original car brackets cannot be connected to the new frame, and the emergency light button cannot be fixed, a small bracket may be required. Consult your seller for details on obtaining this bracket.
