Connecting the Device
- **Power Connection**: Connect the provided DC-12V/1A power adapter to the DC-12V Power input port (1) on the rear panel and plug it into a power outlet. The device supports wide voltages from DC7-24V.
- **BT Antenna**: Screw the provided BT Antenna into the BT Antenna port (9) on the rear panel for Bluetooth functionality.
- **Audio Input**:
- **HDMI**: Connect your source device (e.g., Blu-ray player, game console) to the HDMI input port (8). If your TV supports ARC, connect your TV's ARC-enabled HDMI port to the HDMI (ARC) output port (10) on the decoder.
- **Optical**: Connect an optical cable from your source device to the Optical input port (6).
- **Coaxial**: Connect a coaxial cable from your source device to the Coaxial input port (5).
- **PC-USB**: Connect the decoder to your computer using a PC-USB cable to use it as a soundcard (port 7).
- **USB (HIFI Music Player)**: Insert a USB flash drive with audio files into the USB 2.0 port (1) on the front panel.
- **Bluetooth**: Pair your Bluetooth-enabled device with the UD851B.
- **Audio Output (5.1ch)**:
Connect the 5.1ch analog audio outputs (FL, FR, SL, SR, CEN, SW) to your 5.1-channel power amplifier or active speakers using RCA cables or 3.5mm to RCA cables as appropriate.

3. Operating Instructions
Remote Control Functions
The infrared remote controller provides full control over the UD851B. Ensure AAA 1.5V batteries are installed correctly.

Basic Operation
- **Power On/Off**: Press the Power button on the remote or the Standby button (E) on the front panel (long press) to turn the device on or off.
- **Input Source Selection**:
- Press the INPUT button (E, short press) on the front panel to cycle through input sources. The corresponding LED (3-9) will light up.
- Alternatively, use the dedicated input buttons on the remote (HDMI, ARC, COX, OPT, PC-USB, USB, BT).
- **Volume Adjustment**: Use the VOL+ (D) and VOL- (C) buttons on the front panel or the Volume increase/decrease buttons on the remote.
- **USB Music Playback**:
- Insert a USB flash drive with audio files into the front USB 2.0 port (1).
- Select USB input.
- Use the OK/PLAY/PAUSE, Previous/Next selection, Play randomly, Single cycle mode, All cycle mode buttons on the remote for playback control.
- Long press VOL- (C) for Previous song and long press VOL+ (D) for Next song on the front panel.
- **Output Mode Selection**: Press the "2.0CH/5.1CH" button on the remote to switch between 2.0-channel and 5.1-channel output modes. The device supports both, with 5.1ch active when 2.0ch output modes are selected.
- **Memory Function**: The device features a power-off memory function, automatically resuming the last used signal channel and USB player memory settings after power-off.

4. Maintenance
- **Cleaning**: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- **Water Exposure**: Avoid contact with water or other liquids.

5. Troubleshooting
- **No Power**:
- Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to the device and a working power outlet.
- Verify the power adapter is the correct DC-12V/1A type.
- **No Sound Output**:
- Check all audio cable connections (HDMI, Optical, Coaxial, RCA outputs) to ensure they are secure and correctly plugged into the right ports.
- Verify the correct input source is selected on the UD851B.
- Ensure your amplifier or active speakers are powered on and set to the correct input.
- Check the volume levels on both the UD851B and your connected audio system.
- Ensure the UD851B is not muted (check remote).
- If using 5.1ch output, ensure your amplifier/speakers are configured for 5.1ch input.
- **No 5.1ch Surround Sound**:
- Ensure the input audio source is indeed 5.1ch (e.g., Dolby AC3, DTS).
- Verify the UD851B is set to 5.1ch output mode using the remote.
- Check that all 5.1ch analog outputs are correctly connected to your amplifier/active speakers.
- **Remote Control Not Working**:
- Check and replace the AAA 1.5V batteries in the remote control.
- Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the IR receive port on the front panel.
- **HDMI ARC Issues**:
- Ensure your TV's HDMI port is ARC-enabled and that ARC is activated in your TV's audio settings.
- Check the HDMI cable connection between the TV's ARC port and the UD851B's HDMI (ARC) output.
- Some TVs may require specific settings for external audio systems or CEC control.
