Introduction
The UNITEK USB 3.0 HUB is a versatile docking station designed specifically for Microsoft Surface Pro 4, 5, and 6. It expands your device's connectivity by adding multiple ports, including USB 3.0, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort, and card readers, allowing for enhanced productivity and multimedia capabilities.

Setup
The UNITEK USB 3.0 HUB is designed for plug-and-play functionality, requiring no additional driver installation. Follow these steps to connect the hub to your Microsoft Surface Pro:
- Ensure your Microsoft Surface Pro 4/5/6 is powered on.
- Align the connectors on the UNITEK HUB with the corresponding ports on your Surface Pro (USB-A and Mini DisplayPort).
- Gently push the hub into place until it is securely connected.
- The hub is now ready for use. You can connect your peripherals to the available ports.

Operating Instructions
Once connected, the hub provides various functionalities:
USB 3.0 Ports
- The hub features two USB 3.0 Type-A female ports.
- These ports support SuperSpeed data transmission up to 5Gbps, allowing for quick file transfers.
- They are backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices.
- Connect USB peripherals such as external hard drives, flash drives, keyboards, and mice.
SD and MicroSD Card Readers
- The integrated card readers allow simultaneous reading of both SD and MicroSD cards.
- They support SDHC and SDXC formats, with compatibility for cards up to 2TB capacity.
- Insert your memory cards into the respective slots to access their content.
Video Output Ports (HDMI & Mini DisplayPort)
- HDMI 1.4 Port: Supports video output up to 4K resolution at 30Hz (4K@30Hz) and is compatible with HDCP 1.4.
- Mini DisplayPort 1.2: Supports video output up to 4K resolution at 60Hz (4K@60Hz).
- Important Note: The USB 3.0 Hub Adapter supports a single display only at any given time. You cannot use both HDMI and Mini DisplayPort simultaneously for extended or mirrored displays.

Maintenance
- Keep the hub clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Store the hub in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid dropping or subjecting the hub to strong impacts, as this may damage internal components.
- Ensure the connectors are free from dust and debris before connecting to your Surface Pro or other devices.
Troubleshooting
- Device Not Recognized:
- Ensure the hub is securely connected to your Surface Pro.
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting the hub.
- Test the connected device directly with your Surface Pro (if possible) to rule out device issues.
- No Display Output:
- Verify that only one video output (HDMI or Mini DisplayPort) is connected at a time. The hub does not support simultaneous dual display.
- Check the cable connections between the hub and the external display.
- Ensure the external display is set to the correct input source.
- Test with a different display cable or monitor if available.
- Slow Data Transfer:
- Ensure you are using USB 3.0 compatible devices and cables for optimal speeds.
- Some devices may draw more power than the hub can provide, potentially affecting performance.
- Card Reader Issues:
- Ensure the memory card is fully inserted into the correct slot.
- Check if the card is damaged or corrupted.
- Try the card in another device to confirm its functionality.
