4. Safety Precautions
WARNING: Improper use can lead to serious injury or damage to equipment. Always follow these safety guidelines.
- After connecting the battery pack in the correct order, carefully check the wiring with a wire sequence test board before turning on the power.
- Ensure the equalization cable is properly connected to the battery pack. Incorrect connections may cause damage to the equalizer and battery pack due to overvoltage, overcurrent, or short circuits.
- Use the equalizer in a well-ventilated area, away from flammable and explosive materials.
- Do not disassemble the equalizer without authorization or operate it improperly. This may cause damage to the equalizer and voids the warranty.

5. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to properly set up your SUNKKO D1524 Lithium Battery Equalizer:
- Prepare the Battery Pack: Ensure your battery pack is accessible and ready for connection.
- Connect Equalization Cable: Solder and connect the equalization cable to the total positive and negative electrodes of the battery pack.
- Connect Cable Clamps: Use the provided cable clamps to connect to the corresponding individual batteries in sequence. Each terminal wire is connected to a clamp at the end, with a wire sequence number marked on it.
- Insulate Excess Clamps: Insulate any excess cable clamps that are not used to prevent short circuits.
- Test Wire Sequence: After connecting the battery pack cables, they need to be tested using the wire sequence detection board. Each wire sequence corresponds to a light. When the light is on, it indicates that the wire sequence is correct.
- Connect to Equalizer: After confirming the wire sequence is correct, connect the battery pack cable input ports to the D1524 equalizer. Each input port is clearly labeled with a numbered prompt (e.g., B0, 01-08, 09-16, 17-24).
- Connect Power: Connect the power cord to the equalizer and then to a suitable power outlet. Turn on the main power button located at the rear of the unit.

6. Operating Instructions
The D1524 features a 5-inch color LCD touch screen for intuitive operation and can also be controlled via a mobile Bluetooth APP.
6.1. Initial Power On and Confirmation
- After connecting all cables and powering on the unit, please touch the display screen to confirm and press the 'START' button to proceed to the main interface.
6.2. Enabling Equalization (Three Simple Steps)
To enable equalization, follow these three steps on the touch screen:
- Select the type of battery pack: Choose the appropriate battery chemistry (e.g., Ternary lithium battery, LiFePO4, LTO).
- Set the number of connected battery pack strings: Input the correct number of series cells (S-count) for your battery pack.
- Set equalized start control voltage: Monitor the voltage of a single string battery of the battery pack. If it is lower than this value, it indicates that equalization is needed. Set this threshold accordingly.
6.3. Monitoring and Control
- Main Parameters Display: The main page displays the charging current and the power, along with an SOC (State of Charge) indicator.
- Status Display Page: This page shows total voltage, charging current, charging power, real-time voltage changes of up to 24 series batteries, and temperature changes. Each light hole represents a string of batteries, and the brighter the work indicator light, the greater the difference between the voltage value of that string.
- Start/Stop Equalization: Use the 'CHG ON' button to start charging equalization, 'CHG OFF' to stop charging, and 'STOP' to pause discharge equalization. Press the 'START' button simultaneously with 'CHG ON' or 'CHG OFF' to initiate discharge equalization and achieve charging and discharging integrated operations.

7. Charge Balance Mode
In charge balance mode, the D1524 charges all battery series with the charger. The series under the set voltage will be discharged (no discharging), while the series above the set voltage will be discharged to the set value. This mode allows for flexible settings of the start equalizing voltage and a voltage difference greater than 0.001V.

8. Discharge Balance Mode
The discharge balance mode sets an equalization cut-off voltage. Each battery string undergoes simultaneous discharge until it reaches the set voltage. Similar to charge mode, it offers flexible settings for the start equalizing voltage and a voltage difference greater than 0.001V.

9. Mobile App and Touch Panel Control
The D1524 offers flexible handling through both its integrated 5-inch color LCD touch screen and a mobile Bluetooth APP. The APP allows for remote control and monitoring of the machine from your smartphone, providing convenience and real-time adjustments.

10. Heat Dissipation
The D1524 is equipped with a double fan strong heat dissipation system to ensure stable and safe operation. This system includes twin turbines, operates at 5800rpm speed, and features a metal protective net to improve airflow and reduce heat effectively.

11. Usage Scenarios
The D1524 is versatile and can be used to balance and repair the voltage difference of battery packs, restoring their capacity in various applications:
- New Energy Vehicles
- Electric Scooters
- Energy Storage Power Systems
- Portable Power Stations

12. Scope of Application
The D1524 is applicable to the following battery pack types:
- Li-ion battery packs
- LiFePO4 battery packs
- LTO battery packs

13. User Tips
- Using this Vehicle Battery Tester allows you to test and diagnose battery issues effectively.
- The D1524's main feature is its capability as a Vehicle Battery Tester, providing comprehensive battery management.
14. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your D1524, consider the following general troubleshooting steps:
- No Power: Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the unit and the power outlet. Check if the main power switch on the rear of the unit is in the 'ON' position. Verify the power outlet is functional.
- Incorrect Readings/Operation: Double-check all battery connections, especially the wire sequence, using the wire sequence detection board. Incorrect wiring is a common cause of operational errors.
- Overheating: Ensure the unit is placed in a well-ventilated area and that the cooling fans are not obstructed. If overheating persists, stop operation and contact support.
- Display Issues: If the touch screen is unresponsive or displays errors, try restarting the unit. If the problem continues, refer to the warranty and support section.
