1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and troubleshooting of your ZTUZAUTO Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto Module. This module is designed to integrate seamlessly with your existing Lexus infotainment system, adding advanced smartphone connectivity features without replacing your original car screen. It retains all original system functions while enhancing your driving experience with CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities.

Important Note: This is a CarPlay interface decoder box, not a car screen. It connects to your original CD host device. Installation does not damage the original car cable and does not impact the vehicle's core functionality.

2. Compatibility

The ZTUZAUTO Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto Module is compatible with various Lexus models from 2012-2022. Compatibility depends on your car's specific model, year, and central control interface (knob, touchpad, or joystick). 3. Key Features

• Wireless/Wired CarPlay & Android Auto: Seamless integration for both iOS and Android devices, allowing access to navigation, music, calls, and messages directly on your car's display.
• Wireless Airplay/AutoLink: Stream or share content from your phone (iOS via Airplay, Android via AutoLink) to your car's screen, including online videos, TV news, photos, and navigation.
• Camera Support: Supports original reverse, front, and 360-degree cameras. Also compatible with aftermarket cameras (CVBS/PAL/AHD 720P).

5. Setup and Installation

Installation of this module requires accessing your car's dashboard and connecting cables to the original CD host device. It is a plug-and-play solution that does not require cutting or breaking original car wires.

5.1 Pre-Installation Checklist

• Ensure your vehicle is turned off and the battery is disconnected before starting installation.
• Verify all package contents are present and undamaged.
• Confirm your car's compatibility with the module version you have purchased (refer to Section 2).

5.2 Installation Steps

1. Carefully remove the necessary dashboard panels to access the original CD host unit. Refer to your vehicle's service manual for specific panel removal instructions.
2. Disconnect the original cables from the CD host unit.
3. Connect the provided power cable, LVDS OUT&IN cable, and any other necessary adapter cables from the module to the original CD host unit and the car's wiring harness. Ensure all connections are secure.
4. Connect the WIFI antenna to the module.
5. If your car has a fiber optic cable, ensure it is correctly connected to the module's wiring harness.
6. Mount the CarPlay Module securely using the magic sticker in a suitable location behind the dashboard.
7. Reconnect the car battery.
8. Test all functions of the module and your car's original system before reassembling the dashboard panels.

6. Operation

6.1 Switching Between Systems

To switch between your car's original system and the CarPlay/Android Auto interface, long-press the designated button (e.g., 'Menu' or 'Home' button on your central control) for approximately 3 seconds.

6.2 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

Once the module is active, you can connect your iPhone or Android device wirelessly via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The system will automatically connect after the initial pairing. This allows you to use navigation apps (Google Maps, Waze, Apple Maps), stream music (Spotify, Apple Music), make and receive calls, and send messages via voice commands.

6.3 Voice Control (Siri/Google Assistant)

Activate Siri or Google Assistant using your steering wheel controls or by saying "Hey Siri" (for iOS). You can then issue commands such as:

• "Call David"

6.4 Mirror Link (Airplay/AutoLink)

For iOS devices, use Airplay to mirror your phone's screen. For Android devices, use AutoLink. This feature allows you to display content from your phone, such as videos, news, or photos, directly on your car's screen.

6.5 USB Multimedia Playback

Connect a USB flash drive to the module's USB port to play lossless audio, 720P video, and picture files.

6.6 Camera Functionality

The module supports your car's original reverse, front, and 360-degree cameras. If you have aftermarket cameras (CVBS/PAL/AHD 720P), they are also supported.

7. User Tips

• Professional Installation: If you are not experienced with car electronics, it is highly recommended to have the module installed by a professional to avoid potential damage.
• Verify Functionality: After installation, thoroughly check all functions of both the new module and your car's original system before reassembling the dashboard.
• Compatibility Check: Always double-check your car's year, model, and central control type (knob, small touchpad/joystick, big touchpad) against the compatibility list to ensure you have the correct module version.
• Large Screen Full-Screen Mode: For Lexus models with large screens, confirm if your original navigation system can be set to full-screen mode, as this may affect the display of the CarPlay/Android Auto interface.

9. Troubleshooting

9.1 No Display After Installation

• Wiring Check: Provide a complete wiring video to customer support for verification. Ensure all cables are securely connected.
• DIP Code: Check your DIP code settings. Some models may have several DIP codes marked in the manual; try alternative codes if applicable.
• Resolution Mismatch: If the display resolution is incorrect, the screen may not show anything. Contact customer support to obtain update files for upgrading the module's firmware.

9.2 No Sound After Connecting the Module

• Fiber Optic Cable: If your car is equipped with a fiber optic cable, ensure it is correctly connected to the module's wiring harness.
• Bluetooth Functions: Verify that your car has both Bluetooth phone and Bluetooth music functions. If Bluetooth music is not available, sound can only be obtained via the AUX method.
• MIC Cable: Ensure the MIC cable is fully connected to the module and that the microphone setup is correctly configured.

9.3 System Updates

It is generally not recommended to update the system if the module is functioning normally. If you encounter specific issues, please contact customer support with your current system version number (found in the module's menu interface under 'Settings' > 'System').
