5.1. Memory Card Installation
Before first use, insert a Class 10 or higher TF (microSD) card (8-64GB recommended) into the TF Card slot (8) on the dashcam. Ensure the card is inserted correctly until it clicks into place.
5.2. Physical Installation Steps
Follow these steps to install the dashcam in your vehicle:
- Step 1: First, use a rag to wipe the glass clean where you intend to mount the dashcam.
- Step 2: Tear off the protective film from the adhesive pad on the dashcam bracket.
- Step 3: Press the dashcam lightly onto the cleaned glass surface to secure it.
- Step 4: Connect the power supply cable to the dashcam and route it neatly to the car's power outlet.
- Step 5: Adjust the angle of the dashcam to ensure optimal front view recording. The installation is now complete.
5.3. Wiring Diagram
Properly connect the dashcam and rear camera as shown in the diagram below:

- 1. Logger Display (Main Unit): Mount on the front windshield.
- 2. Recorder Power Supply: Connect the power cable from the main unit to your car's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter). The cable length is approximately 3.4m.
- 3. Rear Pull Camera: Mount the rear camera at the back of your vehicle. Connect it to the AV-IN port (7) on the main unit using the extended line (approximately 5.5m).
- Reverse Trigger: For automatic display of the rear view when reversing, connect the red wire from the rear camera's extended line to your car's reverse light anode.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Power On/Off and Basic Recording
The dashcam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle starts and receives power. It will power off automatically when the vehicle is turned off. You can also manually power on/off using the 'Switch' button (4).
6.2. Loop Recording
The device supports loop recording. When the memory card is full, new recordings will automatically overwrite the oldest unlocked footage. This ensures continuous recording without manual intervention. Emergency locked videos are protected from being overwritten.

6.3. G-Sensor (Emergency Recording)
The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. When such an event occurs, the dashcam automatically saves and locks the current video footage, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. This ensures critical evidence is preserved.
6.4. Night Vision
The dashcam features Super Night Vision with an F1.8 wide aperture lens and 6-Glass wide-angle lens technology. This allows for superior image capture in low-light conditions, helping to record details like license plates more accurately at night.
6.5. WiFi & App Control
The built-in WiFi allows you to connect your smartphone to the dashcam for real-time viewing, video playback, photo capture, and downloading footage directly to your phone via the 'Waycam' app. This eliminates the need to remove the TF card for reviewing recordings.

- Download Waycam App: Search for and install the 'Waycam' app on your smartphone.
- Add Dashcam: Open the app and click to add a dashcam device.
- Install Equipment: Ensure the dashcam is installed and powered on.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Turn on Wi-Fi on your phone and connect to the dashcam's Wi-Fi network (e.g., "Fvdvr_****"). Keep your phone within 2 meters of the dashcam.
- Connection Completed: Once connected, you can control the dashcam and access footage through the app.
6.6. Parking Monitoring
With reliable parking monitoring, your car remains protected even when parked. The G-sensor can detect collisions or impacts while parked and automatically record footage, providing evidence in case of incidents like collisions or theft attempts.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the dashcam lens and screen. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Memory Card: Format the memory card regularly (e.g., once a month) to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up important files before formatting.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website or the Waycam app for any available firmware updates to ensure your device has the latest features and bug fixes.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the dashcam in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
8. Troubleshooting
- Dashcam not powering on:
- Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dashcam and the car's power outlet. Check if the car's power outlet is functioning. Try a different power source if available.
- Recording stops unexpectedly:
- Check if the memory card is full or corrupted. Format the memory card (after backing up important files). Ensure you are using a Class 10 or higher TF card. The device may stop recording if it overheats in extreme conditions.
- Video quality is poor:
- Clean the dashcam lens. Ensure the protective film has been removed from the lens. Check settings to confirm 4K resolution is selected for the front camera. Ensure the windshield is clean.
- WiFi connection issues:
- Ensure the Waycam app is installed and updated. Keep your smartphone within 2 meters of the dashcam. Restart both the dashcam and your phone, then try connecting again.
- Rear camera not displaying:
- Check the connection of the extended line to both the main unit's AV-IN port and the rear camera. If using the reverse trigger feature, ensure the red wire is correctly connected to the reverse light anode.
