2.2 Powering the Camera
Your Techage POE IP Camera offers flexible power options:
- POE Camera (48V): Features a built-in 802.3af standard PoE module. It can be powered directly by a 48V PoE injector or a 48V POE NVR. This eliminates the need for separate power cables, simplifying installation.
- DC 12V Camera (IP Camera): Requires a 12V 1A/2A power adapter (not included).

3.4 Smart IR-Cut Full Color Night Vision
The camera offers three night vision modes:
- Day Vision: Standard daytime recording.
- IR Night Vision: Infrared black and white vision in low light.
- Full Color Night Vision: When the 2 white LED lights illuminate, the camera provides a colorful vision at night.

3.5 H.265 Video Compression
The camera utilizes H.265 video compression technology, which provides clearer HD resolution images at a lower bit rate. This significantly saves storage space (reducing file size by 40%-50%) and improves transmission speed compared to H.264.

3.6.2 Controlling LED Lights (Smart Alert vs. Smart Infrared)
There are two primary options for controlling the camera's 2 LED lights:
- Smart Alert: When motion is detected, the camera's 2 white LEDs will light up.
- Smart Infrared: When motion is detected, the camera's 2 white LEDs will NOT light up, relying solely on infrared for night vision.
You can set these options via your NVR or the web interface:

4.2 General Care
- Regularly clean the camera lens with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear image quality.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure all cable connections are secure and free from moisture.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- No Power: Verify that the camera is correctly connected to a 48V PoE source (for POE cameras) or a 12V 1A/2A power adapter (for DC 12V cameras). Check all cable connections.
- No Image/Video: Ensure the camera is properly connected to the NVR or network. Check network cables and NVR settings.
- Poor Image Quality: Clean the camera lens. Ensure there are no obstructions in the camera's field of view. Check network bandwidth if streaming is choppy.
- False Alarms: Adjust the sensitivity settings for motion detection in the app or NVR. Utilize AI Human Body Detection to filter out non-human movements.
- No Two-Way Audio: Check microphone and speaker settings in the app or NVR. Ensure volume levels are adequate.
- Cannot Connect to App: Verify your phone has internet access. Ensure the camera is online and properly added to the app. Try rescanning the QR code or manually entering the device ID.
- LED Lights Not Working as Expected: Review the "Smart Alert" and "Smart Infrared" settings in your NVR or web interface to ensure the desired mode is selected.
5.2 Resetting the Camera
If you encounter persistent issues, a factory reset may resolve them. Refer to the camera's specific reset procedure, which typically involves pressing and holding a reset button for a certain duration. If a physical button is not present, check the NVR or web interface for a factory reset option. If issues persist, contact Techage customer support.
