5.3 Smart Linkage Function

The sensor supports intelligent linkage, allowing you to create custom automation scenarios with other smart devices. For example:

  • If the indoor temperature reaches 28.2°C, automatically turn on a Wi-Fi air conditioner.
  • If the humidity is lower than 72%, automatically turn on a Wi-Fi humidifier.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Replacement

The sensor uses 2x AAA 1.5V batteries. When the battery level is low (below 2.4V), the app will notify you. To replace the batteries, open the sensor casing, remove the old batteries, and insert new ones, ensuring correct polarity.

6.2 Cleaning

Wipe the sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as this may damage the device.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Device not connecting to Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Check that your phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled during pairing. Make sure the sensor is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
  • No readings in the app: Verify that the sensor has fresh batteries and is properly connected to the app. Check your internet connection.
  • Inaccurate readings: Ensure the sensor is placed in a location free from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources that could affect its accuracy.
  • Offline notifications: If you receive frequent offline notifications, check your Wi-Fi signal strength at the sensor's location and ensure the batteries are not low.

8. User Tips

  • Data Update Frequency: While the manual doesn't specify, some users inquire about adjustable data update frequencies (e.g., 1-120 minutes). Check the app settings for options to customize data reporting intervals if available.
  • Outdoor Use: This sensor is designed for indoor use. Exposure to outdoor elements (rain, extreme temperatures) may damage the device and affect its accuracy.
  • Data Export: The app primarily provides real-time monitoring and historical graphs. If you require data export (e.g., to Excel), check the app's advanced features or contact support, as this functionality is not explicitly mentioned.

9. Warranty and Support

For warranty information and technical support, please refer to the seller's policies or contact ONENUO customer service. You may also find additional resources and FAQs on the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app support pages.
