Setup

1. Switching and Charging

The keyboard features a mode switch for Mac/Win systems, a TYPE-C connection port, a Bluetooth/Wired/2.4G three-mode switch, and a 2.4G receiver placement hole.

To charge the keyboard, use the provided charging cable to connect to a computer's USB port or a DC-5V charger. Ensure the TYPE-C connector is inserted carefully and correctly. The keyboard mode indicator will turn red during charging and automatically turn off when fully charged.

2. Bluetooth Connectivity

To connect via Bluetooth:

1. Turn the mode switch of the keyboard to the Bluetooth position.
2. Long press FN+Q for BT1, FN+W for BT2, or FN+E for BT3. The corresponding Bluetooth code matching lamp will flash blue, pink, or yellow light respectively.
3. Once connected, the light will remain on. The keyboard supports three Bluetooth channels for intelligent identification with Bluetooth 3.0-5.0 standard communication.

3. 2.4G Wireless Connection

To connect via 2.4G wireless:

1. Turn the mode switch of the keyboard to the 2.4G wireless position.
2. Press and hold the FN+R key. The keyboard mode light will flash blue.
3. Plug the 2.4G receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
4. The computer will automatically detect the code and install the necessary adapter software. Once installed and ready for use, the keyboard code light will remain on.

4. Type-C Wired Connection

To connect via wired mode:

1. Use the provided TYPE-C cable to connect the keyboard to your computer.
2. With the cable plugged in, turn the keyboard mode switch to the middle wired mode position.
3. The keyboard will automatically connect to the computer and be ready for use after installation.

FN Key Functions and Lighting Control

• FN + \: Switch light mode
• FN + DEL: Switch light color
• FN + ↑/↓: Adjust light brightness
• FN + ←/→: Adjust light breathing or change speed
• FN + CAP: One key always on white light
• FN + BackSpace: Turn off/on light
• FN + Right Alt: Check battery quantity (number keys 0-9 light up; green for sufficient, red for insufficient)
• FN + ESC: Light reset
• FN + END: INS
• FN + Right Ctrl: Adjust seven colors of side lights + light off
• FN + (-): Adjust side lamp change speed
• FN + (+): Adjust side lamp light dark
• FN + ESC (hold for 10s): Reset the keyboard

Note: WIN/ALT keys may be interchanged when switching interfaces. Do not lock the Win key.

Maintenance

General Care and Handling

• Charging: Always use the provided TYPE-C cable to charge your keyboard. Connect it directly to a computer's USB port. Avoid using wall plugs, power strips, or power banks for charging, as this keyboard is designed to be charged via PC in wired mode only.
• Battery Safety: The YZ98 keyboard uses a 4600mAh lithium battery. For user safety, operate the keyboard indoors at room temperature. Do not expose it to high temperatures or place it near fire sources.
• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the keyboard. For keycaps, a mild cleaning solution can be used. Avoid excessive moisture.
• Disassembly: If disassembly is required, it is crucial to first remove the TYPE-C aluminum strip using an internal hexagonal screwdriver. Failure to do so may damage the keyboard.
• Disposal: If the product is damaged beyond repair, do not disassemble it yourself or dispose of it in regular waste. Please send it to a professional waste disposal station or a special recycling box for proper disposal.

Troubleshooting

• Autosleep Mode: If the keyboard is idle for 2-3 minutes, the backlight will automatically turn off. Press any key to wake the keyboard.
• Lights ON/OFF: Press FN+Backspace to toggle the lights on or off.
• Wireless Connection Not Recognized: If the 2.4G receiver is plugged in but the computer doesn't recognize it, this may be due to poor contact. Try re-plugging the receiver or using a different USB port.
• Dim Backlight or Abnormal Operation: This usually indicates a low battery. Charge the keyboard promptly using the provided TYPE-C cable connected to your PC. Charging time may vary depending on the charger's power.
• Keyboard Not Used for a Long Time: If the product has not been used for an extended period, switch the product mode switch to wired mode before charging.
• Keyboard Stuck or Not Working: This can be caused by environmental interference from same-frequency signals or low battery. In such cases, connect the keyboard to the computer via the TYPE-C cable in wired mode. You can also try switching between Bluetooth channels and the 2.4G channel again.
