5.3 Night Vision Modes

The camera offers three distinct night vision modes:

  • Infrared Night Vision (IR Night Vision): Provides clear black and white video in low-light conditions using infrared LEDs.
  • Full Color Night Vision: When the camera detects movement or an alarm is triggered, its white LED lights illuminate, providing a full-color surveillance picture even at night.

5.4 Humanoid Detection & Alarm

The camera's AI-powered humanoid detection accurately identifies human movement, minimizing false alarms from pets or environmental factors. When a human is detected in the shooting area, the camera will:

  • Emit a customizable siren to deter intruders.
  • Send an alarm message (push notification) to your mobile app.
  • Illuminate the intruder with its 4 white LED lights.

5.5 Humanoid Auto Tracking and Smart Daemon Position

When a person moves within the camera's view, the camera will automatically track their movement, ensuring no activity is missed. Once the person leaves the camera's field of view, the camera will automatically return to a pre-set "daemon position" that you have configured.

5.8 Storage Methods

The camera supports two primary storage methods for your recordings:

  • TF Card Storage: Insert a Micro TF card (up to 128GB) into the camera's slot for local storage. The camera supports an overwrite function, meaning older footage will be replaced by new recordings once the card is full.
  • Cloud Storage: The camera supports cloud storage services, providing an additional layer of data security and accessibility.

5.9 P2P Remote Access & Multi-user

Leveraging P2P (Peer-to-Peer) technology, you can access live footage and recorded videos from your camera anytime, anywhere, using the iCsee app on your smartphone or tablet. The system also supports multi-user access, allowing you to share camera access with family members so everyone can monitor the property.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and housing with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the camera.
  • Firmware Updates: Regularly check the iCsee app for available firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.
  • Power Supply: Ensure the camera is always powered by the correct 5V2A adapter. Using an incorrect power supply can lead to malfunction or permanent damage.
  • Environmental Protection: While the camera is IP66 waterproof, extreme weather conditions can still impact its lifespan. Consider additional protective measures if installed in areas prone to severe weather.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Camera not connecting to Wi-Fi:
    • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. This camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
    • Verify that the Wi-Fi signal strength is adequate at the camera's installation location.
    • Double-check the Wi-Fi password for any typos.
    • If connection issues persist, try resetting the camera to factory settings by long-pressing the reset button (usually for 8 seconds) and then attempting the setup process again.
  • No alarm notifications:
    • Check if Humanoid Detection is enabled in the app settings.
    • Ensure app push notifications are enabled for the iCsee app on your mobile device.
    • Verify that the alarm siren and white LED illumination features are activated in the camera settings.
  • Poor night vision quality:
    • Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from obstructions.
    • Check if the IR-Cut filter is switching correctly between day and night modes.
    • For full-color night vision, ensure the white LEDs are enabled and functioning.
  • Camera not moving (PTZ):
    • Verify that the camera has a stable power supply.
    • Check the app for any error messages or connection issues.
    • Ensure there are no physical obstructions preventing movement.
  • Two-way audio not working:
    • Check the microphone and speaker settings within the iCsee app.
    • Ensure your phone's microphone and speaker are functioning correctly.
    • Verify that the camera's built-in microphone and speaker are not obstructed.

8. User Tips

  • Correct Power Supply is Crucial: Always use the provided 5V2A power adapter. Using a different power supply can permanently damage the camera.
  • Utilize Daemon Position: Configure a "daemon position" in the app. This allows the camera to automatically return to a preferred monitoring angle after tracking a person, ensuring continuous coverage of your most important areas.
  • Creative Alarm Use: Experiment with the DIY alarm voice feature. Recording a custom message, such as "You are being recorded!" or a dog barking sound, can be a highly effective deterrent for potential intruders.
  • Optimal Wi-Fi Placement: For best performance, ensure the camera is installed within a strong 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal range. Avoid placing it too far from your router or near sources of interference.
