6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance and hygiene, regularly clean your Erazer XT80 earphones and charging case. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the surfaces. For the ear tips, you may gently remove them and clean with a mild soap solution, ensuring they are completely dry before reattaching. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, or excessive moisture.

6.2. Water and Dust Resistance

The earphones feature an IPX5 waterproof rating, meaning they are protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. This makes them resistant to sweat and light rain. However, they are not designed for submersion in water. Do not expose them to heavy rain, swimming, or showering. Ensure the charging port is dry before charging.

6.3. Storage

When not in use, store the earphones in their charging case to protect them from dust, damage, and to keep them charged. Store the charging case and earphones in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Erazer XT80 earphones, try the following solutions:

  • Earphones not connecting/pairing:
    1. Ensure both earphones are fully charged.
    2. Place both earphones back into the charging case, close the lid, wait a few seconds, then open the lid again to re-initiate pairing mode.
    3. Turn off and on your device's Bluetooth.
    4. Forget the "ERAZER XT80" from your device's Bluetooth list and attempt to pair again.
  • Only one earbud working:
    1. Ensure both earbuds are charged.
    2. Place both earbuds back into the charging case, close the lid, and then open it again. This often resets the connection between the two earbuds.
    3. If the issue persists, try resetting the earphones (refer to the full user manual for specific reset instructions if available).
  • No sound or low volume:
    1. Check the volume levels on both your earphones and your connected device.
    2. Ensure the earphones are properly seated in your ears and that the correct size ear tips are used for a good seal.
    3. Clean any debris from the earbud speakers.
  • Charging issues:
    1. Ensure the charging cable is securely connected to both the case and the power source.
    2. Check if the charging port on the case is clean and free of debris.
    3. Try using a different USB charging cable or power adapter.
  • Intelligent Noise Reduction (ANC) performance: While the XT80 features intelligent noise reduction, it is not full Active Noise Cancellation. Its effectiveness may vary depending on the type and level of ambient noise.

8. User Tips

  • Optimal Fit: The earphones come with S, M, and L size headphone cups. Experiment with different sizes to find the best fit for your ears. A good seal is crucial for sound quality and noise isolation. The sealed earcups type provides a secure fit.
  • Versatile Use: These earphones are suitable for various functions including HiFi audio, monitoring, sports, mobile phone use, and general listening.
  • Prevent Accidental Touches: The touch controls are responsive. Be mindful of accidental touches when adjusting the earphones in your ear.
  • Ergonomic Design: The ergonomic earhook design and high resilience memory steel wire ensure a comfortable and stable fit, preventing displacement during activities.
