Setup
Connectivity Modes
The Darmoshark SK16 supports three connection modes: Wired (USB Type-C), 2.4G Wireless, and Bluetooth 5.0. A switch on the side of the keypad allows you to select the desired mode.

2.4G Wireless Pairing
- Ensure the keypad is in 2.4G mode using the switch on the side.
- Press and hold the FN + F5 keys simultaneously for 3 seconds. The F5 key will flash, indicating pairing mode.
- Insert the 2.4G receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- Once pairing is successful, the green light on the keypad will turn off, and the keypad will return to its current lighting effect.
Bluetooth Pairing
The keypad supports up to three Bluetooth devices (F1, F2, F3).
- Ensure the keypad is in Bluetooth mode using the switch on the side.
- Select one of the Bluetooth groups (F1, F2, or F3) by pressing and holding FN + F1, FN + F2, or FN + F3 simultaneously for 3 seconds. The corresponding key (F1/F2/F3) will flash blue, indicating pairing mode.
- On your device (computer, tablet, phone), search for Bluetooth devices and select "SK16 QMK".
- After successful pairing, the blue light will turn off, and the keypad will return to its current lighting effect.
- If the keypad does not pair successfully within 1 minute, it will automatically turn off its lights and enter sleep mode. Press any key to wake it up and re-initiate pairing.
- To switch between paired Bluetooth devices, short press FN + F1, FN + F2, or FN + F3.
Wired Connection
To use the keypad in wired mode, connect the provided Type-C cable to the keypad and your computer. The keypad will automatically switch to wired mode.
Operating Instructions
FN Key Combinations
- FN + Spacebar (hold 3 seconds): Restores factory settings.
- FN + Backspace: Cycles through 18 different lighting effect modes.
- FN + F1/F2/F3: Switches between Bluetooth device groups (short press).
- FN + F5: Initiates 2.4G pairing (hold 3 seconds).
Knob Adjustment
The rotary knob on the keypad is used for volume adjustment by default. Pressing the knob will mute/unmute the audio.
RGB Lighting
The SK16 features variable RGB dynamic light effects with uniform colors and multiple built-in lighting effects for quick switching. Use FN + Backspace to cycle through these effects.

Macro Programming (VIA Driver)
The SK16 supports multi-layer macro definition programming using the VIA driver. Note that the VIA driver only supports wired mode operation.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the keypad. For deeper cleaning, you can remove keycaps using the provided key puller and clean underneath. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Switch Care: The SK16 features hot-swappable switches. If a switch malfunctions, you can replace it without soldering. Use the shaft puller to carefully remove the switch. Ensure proper alignment when inserting a new switch to avoid bending the pins.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the keypad frequently. Charge it regularly using the provided Type-C cable.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the keypad in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting
- Keypad not responding:
- Check the connection mode switch (Wired, 2.4G, Bluetooth) and ensure it's set correctly.
- For wired mode, ensure the Type-C cable is securely connected to both the keypad and your computer.
- For 2.4G wireless, ensure the receiver is properly inserted and the keypad is paired (FN+F5).
- For Bluetooth, ensure the keypad is paired to the correct device group (FN+F1/F2/F3) and your device's Bluetooth is enabled.
- Check the battery level. If low, connect the charging cable.
- Keys not registering:
- Ensure the keycaps and switches are properly seated.
- If a specific key is not working, the switch might be faulty. Utilize the hot-swap feature to replace the switch.
- RGB lighting not working or stuck:
- Try cycling through lighting modes using FN+Backspace.
- Perform a factory reset (FN+Spacebar for 3 seconds).
- Ensure the keypad is sufficiently charged, as low battery can affect lighting performance.
- Macro programming issues:
- Ensure the keypad is connected in wired mode when using the VIA driver for programming.
- Refer to the VIA software documentation for detailed macro setup instructions.
