4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Rice Cooking

  1. Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice.
  2. Wash Rice: Wash the rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.
  3. Add Water: Place the washed rice into the inner pot. Add water according to the water level markings inside the inner pot for your chosen rice type and quantity.
  4. Close Lid: Close the lid securely.
  5. Select Pressure Mode: Use the Twin Pressure dial to select either 'High Pressure' (고압) for chewy, sticky rice or 'Non-Pressure' (무압) for soft, fluffy rice.
  6. Select Menu: Use the top touch display to select your desired rice cooking menu (e.g., 백미 for white rice).
  7. Start Cooking: Press the 'Start' button to begin cooking. The cooker will automatically adjust cooking time and pressure.

4.2 Twin Pressure System

The Twin Pressure system offers two distinct cooking environments:

  • High Pressure Mode (고압): Ideal for achieving chewy and sticky rice textures, suitable for various mixed grains and high-pressure steaming.
  • Non-Pressure Mode (무압): Perfect for soft and fluffy rice, vegetable rice, baby food, and reheating frozen rice.

4.3 Open Cooking Mode

This unique feature allows you to add ingredients during the cooking process, perfect for vegetable rice or other mixed dishes.

  1. During a non-pressure menu cooking cycle, press the 'Non-Pressure/Open Cooking' button.
  2. Wait for the smart lock mechanism to release (a sound or indicator will confirm).
  3. Open the lid and add your desired ingredients.
  4. Close the lid securely within 3 minutes. The cooking will resume automatically.

4.4 Super Quick Cooking

For times when you need rice quickly, use the 'Super Quick Cooking' (슈퍼쾌속) function:

  • 0.5 servings: Approximately 9 minutes 30 seconds.
  • 1 serving: Approximately 11 minutes.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Inner Pot and Detachable Cover

The inner pot features an 'X Wall Black' non-stick coating for easy cleaning and durability. The detachable cover is made of stainless steel for hygiene.
