This manual provides detailed instructions for the operation and maintenance of your GVDA GD900 Mini Night Vision Binocular Device. This device is designed for both day and night use, offering 1080P photo and video recording, 7-level infrared adjustment, and 4x digital zoom. It is suitable for various outdoor activities such as scientific observation, guard patrol, outdoor exploration, and camping.

Setup
Inserting Memory Card
Please prepare a Class 10 Micro SD card (up to 32GB) in advance.
- Open the card slot cover to reveal the card slot.
- Insert the Micro SD card into the slot, ensuring the correct direction. Do not force the card.
- It is recommended to format the Micro SD card to improve compatibility and performance.
- To remove the card, gently press the edge of the memory card until it pops out, then remove it.
Note: If the TF card is not installed correctly, the device will prompt "Please insert SD card".
Battery Charging
Prepare a charger with a standard output of 5V/2A.
- Connect the night vision device to the charger using a USB cable.
- The charging indicator on the device will light up red.
- The indicator will turn off once the device is fully charged.
Operating Instructions
Turning On and Off
- To turn on the device, long press the POWER button for 3 seconds.
- To turn off the device, long press the POWER button again.
Adjusting Focus and IR Light
- After powering on, press the MENU button to enter the menu. Observe the clarity of the menu characters on the eyepiece/display.
- Adjust the night vision device (open or close) according to your eyesight to make the characters clearest. Find the approximate position between the night vision instrument and your eyes.
- Press the MENU button to exit the menu. Look at the actual scene and adjust the focus wheel according to the distance until the screen image is clearest.
- If light is insufficient or for night use, press the IR button to turn on the infrared light. Select the appropriate IR gear based on the ambient light. The darker the light, the higher the gear adjustment needed. Long press the IR up button to zoom.
Changing Modes
The device has three modes: Photo Mode, Video Mode, and Playback Mode. Press the Mode button to switch between them.

Taking Pictures
- Turn on the device. The default is Video mode. Press the Mode button to switch to Photo mode.
- Zooming: Keep pressing the IR Up/Zoom in or IR Down/Zoom out button to zoom in or out. The magnification level will appear on the LCD screen.
- Take a still photo:
- View your subject via the LCD screen.
- Adjust the focus by turning the focus wheel.
- For night or insufficient light, turn on the IR by pressing the IR button. Increase brightness by pressing the IR Up button repeatedly. There are 7 levels of brightness (0-7). Adjust according to your needs.
- Press the Shot/OK button to take a photo.

Recording Video
- Turn on the device. The default is Video mode. If not, press the Mode button to switch to Video mode.
- Zooming: Keep pressing the IR Up/Zoom in or IR Down/Zoom out button to zoom in or out. The magnification level will appear on the LCD screen.
- Start to record video:
- View your subject via the LCD screen.
- Adjust the focus by turning the focus wheel.
- For night or insufficient light, turn on the IR by pressing the IR button. Increase brightness by pressing the IR Up button repeatedly. There are 7 levels of brightness (0-7). Adjust according to your needs.
- Press the Shot/OK button to start recording. The record duration will be shown on the LCD screen.
- Finish recording: Press the Shot/OK button again to stop recording.
Note: The device will stop recording automatically once the memory card capacity is full.

Playback
- Turn on the device and press the Mode button to switch to Playback mode.
- Press the IR Up or IR Down button to view photos and video files.
- Playback the video:
- Press the Shot/OK button to start playing the video files.
- Press the Shot/OK button again to pause.
- Press the Menu button to stop the current video playing.
Playback Menu Options:
In Playback mode, press the Menu button to display the playback menu. Use the IR Up/Down buttons to navigate and the Shot/OK button to select a sub-menu option.

New and Special Color Effects
The device offers Luminous Green Color Effect and Film Color Effect, available in both normal and infrared night vision modes.
- Long press "Menu" to cycle through: Luminous Green Color Effect -> IR light Effect -> Normal color mode.
Downloading Files to PC
There are two methods to download files from the device to a computer:
Method 1: Using a Card Reader
- Eject the memory card from the device.
- Insert the memory card into a card reader, then connect the card reader to your computer.
- Open "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer" and double-click the removable disk icon representing the memory card.
- Copy images from the card to a directory of your choice on the computer's hard disk.
Method 2: Connecting the Device to a PC through the USB Cable
- Turn on the night vision device.
- Connect it to a computer using the supplied USB cable. The screen will display a "USB" icon.
- Open "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer". A "Removable Disk" will appear in the drive list.
- Double-click the "Removable Disk" icon to view its contents. Files stored on the camera are located in the folder named "DCIM".
- Copy the photos or files to your computer.

Maintenance
Cleaning
- Before cleaning, disconnect the device from the power supply.
- Use only a dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use any cleaning fluid to avoid damaging the electronics.
- Clean the eyepieces and/or lenses only with a soft, lint-free cloth (e.g., microfibre cloth). Use only gentle pressure to avoid scratching the lenses.
- Protect the device from dust and moisture. Store it in a bag or box when not in use.

Troubleshooting
Poor Image Quality
- If you wear glasses, keep them on while using the device.
- During daytime use, ensure the IR is off. If IR is on, the screen will appear black and white or colored incorrectly.
- During nighttime use, ensure the IR is turned on. If IR is on, the screen will appear black and white.
- Adjust the focus by slowly turning the Focus wheel until the image is clear and focused.
IR – LED (Night Vision Function) Issues
- Manual Focusing: For distant targets, turn the lens to the left. For closer targets, turn the lens to the right. Adjust the focus wheel repeatedly until the display is clear.
- Activating IR LED: In photo/video mode, to view in dark environments, short press the IR Up button to activate the IR LED. The image will change to black and white.
- IR LED Levels: The IR LED has seven levels. Short press IR Up to increase the level, and IR Down to decrease it.
- Battery Power and IR: If the battery voltage is low, the IR LED level will automatically decrease.
- Full battery: IR level can go up to 7.
- Half power: IR level can go up to 5.
- 25% power: IR level can go up to 3.
- Below 25% power: IR LED cannot be activated.

User Tips
- For optimal performance, always use a Class 10 Micro SD card and format it within the device before first use.
- When using the IR function at night, adjust the IR brightness level (1-7) to match the darkness of the environment for the clearest image. Higher levels are needed for darker conditions.
- Remember that the IR LED's maximum brightness level is limited by the battery charge. Keep your device charged for full IR functionality.
- The device is IP54 waterproof, offering protection against splashes, but it is not designed for submersion.
