4. Setup and Installation

The ATOTO P507SD is designed for quick and easy installation, typically taking only 5 minutes. No need to disassemble your dashboard.

4.1 Basic Installation Steps

  1. Place the sticky pad on a clean, flat surface of your dashboard.
  2. Attach the sticking holder to the sticky pad, ensuring a secure fit.
  3. Mount the P5 On-Dash Navigator onto the sticking holder. The mount is designed for stable installation without obstructing your view.
  4. Connect the power cable to your car's cigarette lighter socket.
  5. Make necessary connections to your phone for CarPlay or Android Auto functionality (refer to Section 5.1).
  6. Connect the AUX cable to your car's AUX input for audio output, if desired.

5. Operation

5.1 Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto

The P507SD supports both wireless CarPlay and wireless/wired Android Auto, allowing you to effortlessly access navigation, multimedia, and voice assistants while staying focused on the road.

To use, enable Wi-Fi on your phone, connect to the device's Bluetooth, and launch CarPlay/Android Auto. Your phone's apps will be mirrored on the P5's screen.

5.2 Navigation

The P507SD offers comprehensive navigation capabilities:

  • Online Maps: Through CarPlay or Android Auto, you can access popular online navigation apps like Google Maps and TomTom, providing real-time traffic information.
  • Offline Maps: The device supports offline maps for most countries worldwide. These maps can be downloaded and updated for free, ensuring reliable navigation even in areas without cellular data or signal.

5.3 Audio Output Options

Enjoy high-quality audio through multiple output methods:

  1. Bluetooth Audio Output: Pair your phone to the car's Bluetooth system. Sound will be played through your car's speakers.
  2. FM Transmitter: Transmit audio to your car's FM radio. Select an unused FM frequency on both the P5 and your car radio.
  3. AUX Audio Output: Connect the P5 to your car's AUX input using the provided AUX cable for a direct stereo connection.
  4. Built-in Speaker: The P5 has a built-in speaker for direct audio playback.

5.4 Display Features

  • QLED DBF Display: The 7-inch Ultra Clear QLED Display features 1024x600 resolution and 600cd/m2 brightness. Dynamic Backlight Feature (DBF) precisely adjusts backlight brightness in different areas of the screen, bringing out incredible details in both dark and bright scenes.
  • Anti-Glare and Wide Viewing Angle: The QLED display minimizes distracting glares, eliminating the need for a sunshade. With an impressive 178° viewing angle, you can enjoy crystal-clear visuals from any position.
  • Capacitive Touchscreen: The P5 features a responsive and intuitive 5-touch On-Cell Capacitive Touchscreen.
  • Auto-Dimming Function: A built-in light sensor intelligently adapts screen brightness according to surrounding light conditions. The screen will dim when driving into a tunnel or shade and brighten when returning to sunlight.

5.5 Steering Remote Control

The included AC-44F6 Wireless Steering Remote Control allows you to manage various functions of the P507SD conveniently from your steering wheel, keeping your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.

5.6 Camera Support (Optional)

The P507SD supports external camera inputs for enhanced safety and recording. Please note that P5 Series devices are not compatible with third-party or other factory cameras; only ATOTO brand cameras are supported.

  • Front DVR Camera: Supports 720P 140° front DVR camera input. Features include instant playback on the 7-inch screen, auto start, and auto loop recording. Important video footage can be locked to prevent overwriting. The camera has a built-in microphone which can be disabled if necessary. Supports a maximum 128G Micro SD Card (not included).
  • Rear View Camera: Supports 1080P rear-view camera input with a wide viewing angle of 168° for a broader field of view. Offers superior night vision for clear sight in low light conditions. The Live Rear-View (LRV) function allows you to view the rear area even while driving forward through the 'R-CAM' app.
