Setup and Adjustment

Your OLEVS 6654 watch is an automatic mechanical timepiece. It does not require a battery but is powered by the motion of your wrist. If the watch stops or runs slowly, it may need to be manually wound or worn for an extended period.

  1. Initial Winding: If the watch has stopped, gently rotate the crown (main knob on the side) clockwise about 20-30 times while it is in its normal, pushed-in position. This will provide an initial power reserve.
  2. Setting Time: Pull the crown out to the outermost position. Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Push the crown back in to start the watch.
  3. Setting Date: Pull the crown out to the middle position. Rotate the crown to adjust the date. Be careful not to adjust the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement. Push the crown back in when done.
  4. Setting Month: Use the 'Month adjustment button' (refer to Figure 3) to advance the month display.
  5. Setting Year: Use the left-side function button labeled '① Year of adjustment' (refer to Figure 3) to adjust the year.
  6. Setting Week: Use the left-side function button labeled '② Adjust the week' (refer to Figure 3) to adjust the day of the week.
  7. Moon Phase: The moon phase display typically advances automatically with the date. There is no separate manual adjustment for this feature.

Operating Functions

  • Automatic Movement: The watch is powered by an automatic self-winding mechanical movement. It winds itself with the natural motion of your arm. If worn daily for at least 8-10 hours, it should maintain sufficient power. If not worn for several days, it may stop and require manual winding as described in the Setup section.
  • Chronograph: The watch features chronograph sub-dials. The specific operation of these sub-dials (start, stop, reset) is typically controlled by the pushers located above and below the crown. Consult the diagram in Figure 3 for button identification.
  • Luminous Display: The hands and hour markers are coated with a high-definition luminous material. For optimal glow in the dark, expose the watch dial to a bright light source (natural or artificial) for a few minutes. The intensity and duration of the glow will depend on the exposure time and light intensity.

Maintenance

  • Water Resistance (3ATM/30m): Your watch is rated for 3ATM (30 meters) water resistance. This means it is suitable for daily use, such as splashes, rain, and hand washing. It is NOT suitable for showering, swimming, diving, or any water sports. Avoid operating the crown or pushers when the watch is wet.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and strap regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and sweat. For the stainless steel components, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
  • Avoid Extreme Conditions: Protect your watch from extreme temperatures (hot or cold), strong magnetic fields, and harsh chemicals, which can affect its accuracy and materials.
  • Impact Protection: While the watch is shock-resistant, avoid severe impacts or drops to prevent damage to the internal movement or external components.
  • Storage: When not wearing the watch, store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original box or a watch winder if you wish to keep it running continuously.

Troubleshooting

  • Watch Stops or Runs Slowly:

This is common for automatic mechanical watches if not worn regularly. Ensure the watch is fully wound by manually rotating the crown clockwise 20-30 times. Wear the watch for at least 8-10 hours daily to maintain its power reserve.

  • Luminous Hands/Markers Not Glowing:

The luminous material needs to absorb light to glow. Expose the watch dial to a strong light source (sunlight or artificial light) for a few minutes. The glow will fade over time in darkness.

  • Date/Day/Month Not Changing Correctly:

Ensure the time is set correctly, especially the AM/PM cycle, as the date change mechanism is linked to the 24-hour cycle. Avoid adjusting the date manually between 9 PM and 3 AM.

User Tips

  • Regular Wear: For consistent timekeeping, wear your automatic watch daily. If you rotate watches, consider a watch winder to keep it powered and accurate.
  • Luminous Activation: If you need the luminous feature to be bright, give your watch a quick 'charge' under a bright lamp before heading into dark environments.
  • Gentle Handling: While durable, mechanical watches benefit from gentle handling. Avoid unnecessary shocks or rough activities while wearing it.
