8. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your LS VISION camera, consider the following maintenance tips:

  • Clean the Solar Panel: Regularly wipe the solar panel surface to remove dust, dirt, or debris that may reduce charging efficiency.
  • Clean Lenses: Gently clean the camera lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth to maintain clear image quality.
  • Check Connections: Periodically inspect all cable connections for tightness and ensure they are free from corrosion or damage.
  • Battery Health: While the camera is solar-powered, frequent wake-ups can deplete the battery faster. If the camera is in a high-traffic area, consider charging it regularly with the TYPE-C cable to prolong battery life. The battery can be charged approximately 500 times.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the NiView app regularly for firmware updates to ensure your camera has the latest features and security enhancements.

9. Troubleshooting

Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter:

  • Q: Will the camera show red lights when night vision is activated?
A: The built-in infrared LEDs only show some dim red lights when night vision is active. The image quality remains clear in low-light conditions.
  • Q: What is the longest recording time?
A: The recording time depends on the selected power mode. In low power consumption mode, it records for 15 seconds upon human detection. The built-in battery supports approximately 6000 wake-ups, with solar energy providing an additional 250 wake-ups per hour. In adaptive mode, it records 24/7 if the battery is above 50%, switching to low-power mode below 45%. Full-time mode requires continuous power supply.
  • Q: How to check video playback?
A: Click the video playback button on the app's homepage (pull-up control menu) and select either memory card playback or cloud storage playback.
  • Q: What happens when the memory card runs out of space?
A: The oldest footage will be overwritten by the newest. Back up important videos regularly or delete unnecessary ones to free up space. Alternatively, subscribe to a cloud plan.
  • Q: How many cameras can I connect to the same account?
A: You can add up to 50 cameras, but it's recommended to add no more than 10 devices for a better user experience.
  • Q: Why can't I receive push notifications on my mobile device?
A: Ensure you have allowed the NiView app to push notifications to your mobile device in your phone's settings.
  • Q: What's the total amount of cameras included in this system?
A: This system includes a single camera unit with a triple-lens setup, providing multiple views and zoom capabilities.
  • Q: What's the storage capacity of this device?
A: The device supports Micro SD card storage up to 128GB and also offers cloud storage options. It does not have internal storage.
