Introduction
The Sunsun CFF-206 is a solar-powered automatic fish food dispenser designed to reliably and regularly feed fish in garden ponds or large aquariums. This feeder offers programmable feeding schedules and adjustable food distribution, ensuring your fish are fed even when you are away. Its integrated solar panel charges a lithium battery, allowing for extended operation without direct sunlight.

Assembly Instructions
- Attach the feet (14) to the main body (10) using the appropriate screws (e.g., Screw 3 (12)).
- Insert the impeller (8) and impeller cover (7) into the feeding bucket (5). Secure with Screw 1 (6).
- Place the desiccant rack (4) into the feeding bucket (5).
- Attach the bucket cover (3) to the feeding bucket (5).
- Position the solar panel (2) onto the transparent cover (1) and then attach the transparent cover to the bucket cover.
- If using for ground installation, attach the inserted bars (15) to the feet (14) for stability.
Placement
- Place the feeder in a location where the solar panel receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day for optimal charging.
- Ensure the feeder is stable and secure, especially if using the inserted bars for ground placement.
- Position the feeder so that the food dispensing chute is directed towards the area where fish typically gather, allowing for a 120° horizontal spreading range and a throw distance of 1-3 meters.

Filling the Food Bucket
- Open the transparent cover and bucket cover.
- Fill the feeding bucket (5) with dry fish food. The feeder can hold up to 6 liters of food.
- Ensure the food size is between 3mm and 10mm for optimal dispensing.
- Close the bucket cover and transparent cover securely to protect the food from moisture.
Operating Instructions
The CFF-206 feeder allows for flexible programming of feeding times and durations.

Programming Feeding Schedules
- The feeder can be programmed for 1 to 6 feedings per day.
- Each feeding duration can be set for up to 20 seconds.
- Refer to the control panel (as shown in the image above) for specific button functions to set the current time, feeding times, and feeding durations.
Adjusting Food Spreading
- The feeder spreads food horizontally with a 120° range.
- The range can be adjusted to spread food 1 to 3 meters, depending on your pond size and fish distribution. This adjustment is typically done via a physical setting on the feeder's dispensing mechanism or through the control panel.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and proper functioning of your feeder.
- Cleaning the Food Bucket: Periodically empty and clean the feeding bucket to prevent food residue buildup and mold growth. Use mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly and ensure it is completely dry before refilling.
- Cleaning the Solar Panel: Wipe the solar panel regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris that may obstruct sunlight and reduce charging efficiency.
- Checking for Blockages: Inspect the dispensing chute and impeller area for any food blockages, especially if using larger food pellets. Clear any obstructions carefully.
- Battery Care: The integrated lithium battery is charged by the solar panel. While the solar power is low, it is sufficient for operation. Ensure the feeder is placed in a sunny spot to maintain battery charge.
Troubleshooting
- Feeder not dispensing food:
- Check if the food bucket is empty.
- Ensure there are no blockages in the dispensing chute or around the impeller.
- Verify that the feeding schedule is correctly programmed and the feeder has sufficient battery charge.
- Food not spreading correctly:
- Check for blockages in the dispensing mechanism.
- Ensure the food size is within the recommended 3-10mm range.
- Verify the feeder is placed on a level surface.
- Battery not holding charge / Feeder stops working:
- Ensure the solar panel is clean and receiving adequate direct sunlight.
- Note that solar power can be low, and a full charge might take time, but it should not affect usage if regularly exposed to sun. The feeder can operate for up to 3 months on a full charge without sunlight.

User Tips
- Solar Charging Expectation: The CFF-206 uses solar power, which can be low. It might take time to achieve a full charge, but this generally does not affect its ability to operate as long as it receives regular sunlight.
- Food Type: For best results, use dry fish food pellets or flakes within the 3-10mm size range. Avoid sticky or excessively fine foods that may clog the dispenser.
