  1. Prepare for Wiring: Carefully open the switch panel. To avoid scratching or breaking the panel, gently pry it open with a flathead screwdriver on a stable, flat surface.
  2. Identify Wires:
    • Input L (Live Wire): Connect to the Red, Brown, or Black wire from your AC power supply (100-250VAC).
    • Input N (Neutral Wire): Connect to the Blue wire from your AC power supply.
    • Output L1: Connect to the Brown wire from your motor.
    • Output L2: Connect to the Black wire from your motor.
    • Output N (Neutral Wire): Connect to the Blue wire from your motor.
    • Earth Wire: The switch does not have an earth wire terminal. The Green/Yellow earth wire from the motor does not need to be connected to the switch.
  3. Connect Terminal Block: When connecting the neutral wires, ensure both the Input Neutral Wire (Blue Wire from AC power) and the Output Neutral Wire (Blue Wire from Motor) are securely placed into the 'N' position on the terminal block.
  4. Mount the Back Plate: Fix the back plate of the switch onto the wall using screws.
  5. Attach the Panel: Once the back plate is secured and wiring is complete, carefully press the switch panel back onto the back plate. Ensure it clicks into place.

6. User Tips

  • Wi-Fi Network: Always ensure your Wi-Fi router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz signal for optimal connectivity, as the switch does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
  • Motor Compatibility: Double-check that your motor is a 4-wire AC motor. This is a common point of confusion for users.
  • Neutral Wire: Remember that a neutral wire is mandatory for the switch to function.
  • Voice Control for Percentage: If you want to use voice commands for specific curtain percentages, use Amazon Alexa. Google Assistant currently only supports open/close/pause commands.
  • PDF Manual: For more detailed diagrams and specific instructions, refer to the official user manual PDF available at LoraTap User Manual (PDF).

7. Troubleshooting

  • Device Not Connecting to Wi-Fi:
    • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz.
    • Check if your router is too far from the switch.
    • Verify that you have entered the correct Wi-Fi password.
    • Try resetting the switch and re-entering pairing mode.
  • Motor Not Responding:
    • Confirm that the motor is a 4-wire AC motor, not a DC motor.
    • Check all wiring connections according to the diagram in Section 4.1.
    • Ensure the neutral wire is correctly connected.
    • Verify that the power supply to the switch is active.
  • Voice Control Issues:
    • Ensure the switch is correctly linked to your Amazon Alexa or Google Home account via the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app.
    • Check your internet connection.
    • For percentage control, remember this feature is currently only supported by Amazon Alexa.
  • Physical Buttons Not Working:
    • Ensure the switch panel is correctly seated and secured to the back plate.
    • Check if the power is supplied to the switch.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the switch surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app for available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Environmental Conditions: Avoid exposing the switch to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
