3. Setup and Power

3.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully remove the roll-up piano from its packaging.
  2. Unroll the keyboard completely and place it on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there are no creases or bumps under the keys, as this can affect playability.
  3. Position the control box within easy reach.

3.2 Powering the Device

The piano supports two power options:

  • Battery Power: Insert 4 AA 1.5V batteries into the battery compartment located on the underside of the control box. Ensure correct polarity. A fresh set of batteries provides approximately 15 hours of play time.
  • DC 6V External Adapter: Connect a compatible DC 6V power adapter (not included) to the DC 6V input port on the control box.

Note: Do not use both battery power and the DC adapter simultaneously.

4. Basic Operation

4.1 Power On/Off

Locate the ON/OFF button on the control panel. Press it to turn the piano on or off.

4.2 Volume Adjustment

Use the VOL+ and VOL- buttons or the rotary volume knob on the control panel to adjust the master volume.

4.3 Selecting Tones and Rhythms

  • Tones: Press the 'TONE' button, then use the number keys or +/- buttons to select from 128 different instrument tones.
  • Rhythms: Press the 'RHY' button, then use the number keys or +/- buttons to select from 128 different rhythms.

4.4 Playing Demo Songs

Press the 'DEMO' button to cycle through the 30 built-in demonstration songs. Press 'DEMO' again to stop playback.

4.5 Start/Stop Function

Use the 'START/STOP' button to begin or end rhythm playback or other functions.

5. Advanced Functions

5.1 Recording and Playback

  • Record: Press the 'REC' button to start recording your performance. The LCD display may indicate recording status.
  • Play: After recording, press the 'PLAY' button to listen to your recorded sequence.

5.2 Chord Modes

5.4 External Audio / Headset Connection

You can connect external speakers to the 'OUT' port for a louder sound experience or headphones to the 'HEAD PHONE' port for private practice. This is useful for different playing environments.

6. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Wipe the keyboard and control panel with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: When not in use, gently roll up the keyboard. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid Damage: Do not puncture, cut, or apply excessive force to the silicone keys. Keep away from sharp objects.
  • Battery Care: Remove batteries if the piano will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
