3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
  2. Slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
  3. Insert three (3) AA batteries (1.5V each, not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-) inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

3.2 External Power Connection

For extended use, the radio can be powered via a DC 5V power source (e.g., a USB wall adapter or power bank) using the provided charging cable. Connect the cable to the DC-5V port on the side of the radio.

3.3 Antenna Adjustment

Extend the telescopic antenna fully for optimal FM reception. For AM reception, the radio uses an internal ferrite bar antenna, so orienting the radio itself may improve signal quality.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

Press the POWER button located on the top right of the radio to turn it on or off.

4.2 Band Selection

Press the AM/FM button to switch between FM and AM radio bands.

4.3 Tuning

  • Manual Tuning: Use the TUNING knob on the side of the radio to manually scan for stations.
  • Automatic Scan: Press the SCAN button to automatically search for and store available radio stations. The radio can store up to 58 stations (29 FM and 29 AM).

4.4 Volume Control

Adjust the listening volume using the VOLUME knob on the right side of the radio.

4.5 Memory Functions

Use the M+, M-, MEMO, and DEL buttons to manage your stored radio stations. Refer to the on-screen prompts for specific operations like saving or deleting presets.

4.6 Clock, Alarm, and Sleep Timer

The radio features a built-in clock, alarm, and sleep timer. Use the corresponding buttons (e.g., SLEEP) and on-screen menu to set these functions. The LCD screen with backlight ensures easy visibility of the time and settings.

5. Maintenance

  • Keep the radio dry. Avoid exposure to water or high humidity.
  • Clean the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Avoid dropping the radio or subjecting it to strong impacts.
  • When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.

  • No Power:
    • Check if batteries are correctly installed and not depleted.
    • Ensure the external DC 5V power source is connected properly and functioning.
  • Poor Reception/Static:
    • Extend the telescopic antenna fully for FM.
    • Rotate the radio for better AM reception.
    • Move to an open area away from large metal objects or electronic devices that may cause interference.
  • No Sound:
    • Increase the volume.
    • Ensure headphones are not plugged in if you intend to use the built-in speaker.
