7. Maintenance
7.1 Soldering Tip Care
- Always tin the tip before and after use to prevent oxidation.
- Clean the tip regularly with a damp sponge or brass wool to remove excess solder and flux residue.
- Avoid excessive pressure when soldering, as this can damage the tip.
- Store tips properly when not in use.

Figure 11: Various soldering tips available for T80 and T80P models.
7.2 General Cleaning
- Ensure the device is unplugged and cool before cleaning.
- Wipe the body of the soldering iron with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
8. Troubleshooting
- "No soldering iron head!!!" message: This indicates that the heating element (soldering tip) is not installed correctly. Please re-insert the tip firmly as shown in the setup section.
- Temperature fluctuations with new heating core: The T80 may experience initial temperature jumps when using a new heating core. This is normal, and the temperature will stabilize after several uses.
- Induced electricity sensation: It is normal for some fast charging power supplies to induce a slight electrical sensation. If you are sensitive to this, it is recommended to use the soldering iron with a power bank.
- Power issues: Ensure your Type-C power source and cable are compatible with PD/QC protocols and can deliver sufficient power (18-100W). For higher power output (65W+), a C2C cable is often required.
9. User Tips
- For optimal performance and to achieve the full 100W power, ensure you are using a power adapter and a C2C cable that supports PD/QC fast charging protocols and can deliver the required wattage.
- If you experience any slight electrical sensation, especially with certain fast chargers, consider using a power bank as your power source for a more comfortable experience.
- When first using a new soldering tip, allow it to heat up and stabilize for a few minutes before beginning work. This helps ensure consistent temperature control.
- The T80/T80P is designed for portability. Consider investing in a protective case for safe transport and storage.
