1. Product Overview

The NeWYeS SyncPen3 is an advanced 3-in-1 digital writing set designed to seamlessly integrate traditional handwriting with digital technology. 3. Setup Guide

3.1 Charging the SyncPen

Before initial use, fully charge the SyncPen using the provided USB charging cable. Connect the cable to the pen and a compatible USB power source. The indicator light on the pen will show charging status.

3.2 App Installation

Download and install the 'NEWYES NOTE' application on your smartphone or tablet. The app is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

3.3 Pairing the SyncPen with the App

1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone or tablet.
2. Open the cap of the SyncPen; it will automatically turn on. The indicator light will blink, indicating it's in pairing mode.
3. Open the 'NEWYES NOTE' app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your SyncPen. The pen uses Bluetooth 5.0 for seamless connection.

3.4 Inserting Pen Refills

The SyncPen uses standard ink refills for the smart notebook and plastic refills for the LCD pad. To change a refill, gently pull out the old one and insert the new one until it clicks into place.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off the SyncPen

• To Power On: Simply open the cap of the SyncPen. It will automatically turn on.
• To Power Off: Replace the cap on the SyncPen. It will automatically turn off after a period of inactivity.

4.2 Writing and Synchronization

The SyncPen captures your writing from 360° angles, accommodating various pen holding habits. It supports both online and offline modes:

• Online Mode: When connected to the 'NEWYES NOTE' app, your notes and drawings on the smart notebook or LCD pad will synchronize instantly to the app.
• Offline Mode: If the pen is not connected to your phone, it will save the content internally. Once reconnected to the app, the stored notes will be uploaded and synchronized.

4.3 Using the LCD Writing Pad

The 10-inch LCD pad allows you to write and draw digitally. You can change writing colors and thickness directly from a quick toolbar on the pad. To clear the screen, press the erase button. Notes created on the LCD pad can also be synchronized to the app.

4.4 Handwriting Recognition (OCR)

The 'NEWYES NOTE' app utilizes Myscript technology for advanced recognition:

• Handwriting to Digital Text: Converts your handwritten notes into editable digital text.
• Printed Text OCR: Transcribes printed text from documents or books into digital text using the app's OCR feature.
• Multi-language Support: Recognizes up to 66 languages.
• Math and Chemistry Elements: Capable of transcribing complex math and chemistry elements.

4.5 Managing Notes in the App

• Saving Notes: After writing, click to save your notes to the app. You can change the title and add tags for better organization.
• Inserting Images: You can insert images directly into your digital notes within the app.
• Voice Recording: The LCD pad allows you to record voice notes which are synchronized with your written content.
• Searching Notes: Easily search for specific notes by keywords or tags within the app.
• Exporting Notes: Export your digital notes into various formats including .doc, .PDF, or .JPG.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Replacing Pen Refills

Regularly check the ink level of the pen refills. When the ink runs out, replace it with one of the provided ink refills. For the LCD pad, replace the plastic refill if it becomes worn or damaged.

5.2 Charging

Ensure the SyncPen is charged when the battery is low to maintain optimal performance. The pen uses a micro USB for charging.

5.3 Cleaning the LCD Pad

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the LCD pad. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or excessive moisture.

• Pen not connecting/syncing: Ensure Bluetooth is on, the pen is powered on (cap open), and the 'NEWYES NOTE' app is running. Try restarting both the pen and the app.
• Handwriting recognition issues: Ensure your handwriting is clear and legible for optimal recognition. The system supports 66 languages, but clarity is key.
• LCD pad not responding: Check if the pad's battery is charged. Press the erase button to see if it clears the screen. If not, try restarting the pad (if applicable) or contacting support.
• Pen not writing on paper: Check if the ink refill is properly inserted and has ink.
