5. Setup Guide
5.1. App Installation
The WP03 thermometer operates with the 'ToGrill' mobile application. Please download and install the app on your smartphone or tablet:
- For iOS devices: Search for 'ToGrill' in the Apple App Store.
- For Android devices: Search for 'ToGrill' in the Google Play Store.

Download the ToGrill App from your device's app store.
5.2. Device Pairing
The thermometer works by pairing the probe with the charging case (repeater), which then transmits data to your mobile app via Bluetooth.
- Ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth is enabled.
- Open the 'ToGrill' app.
- Remove the probe(s) from the charging case. The probe(s) will automatically activate.
- The app should automatically detect and connect to the charging case and probe(s). Follow any on-screen prompts within the app to complete the pairing process.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Using the ToGrill App
The ToGrill app provides a comprehensive interface for monitoring and controlling your cooking:
- Guided Grill: Select from preset temperatures for various meat types (Beef, Pork, Lamb, Chicken, Turkey, Fish, Sausage, Hamburger, Veal) and doneness levels (Rare, Medium Rare, Medium, Medium Well, Well Done). These presets are based on USDA recommendations and can be customized.
- Custom Timers: Set specific cooking timers directly within the app.
- View Current & Target Temperatures: The app displays real-time internal meat temperature and ambient temperature, along with your set target temperature.
- Temperature History: View a graph of temperature changes over time, allowing you to track your cooking progress.
- Smart Reminders: Receive immediate alerts through the app when your food reaches the designated temperature or when the timer expires.
- Unit Switch: Easily switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) temperature units.

6.2. Probe Placement
For accurate readings and safe operation:
- Insert the probe into the thickest part of the meat, avoiding bones.
- Ensure the safety line on the probe is fully covered by the meat while the tip of the probe is inside the meat. This ensures the ambient temperature sensor is exposed to the cooking environment and the internal sensor is accurately measuring the meat's core temperature.
- The ceramic handle of the probe can withstand temperatures up to 300°C (572°F).

6.3. Charging
The probes are charged via the magnetic charging case.
- Place the probe(s) back into the charging case when not in use.
- Connect the USB charging cable to the USB-C port on the charging case and to a power source.
- A 15-minute charge provides over 72 hours of continuous use.

7. Maintenance and Care
7.1. Cleaning
- The probe is IP65 waterproof. After each use, clean the probe thoroughly under running water with mild soap.
- Do NOT submerge the entire charging case in water. Wipe the charging case with a damp cloth.
- Ensure the probe and charging case are completely dry before storing.
7.2. Storage
- Store the probe(s) securely in the charging case when not in use.
- The charging case has a magnetic backing, allowing it to be conveniently attached to metal surfaces like an oven or refrigerator.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

8. Troubleshooting
- Probe doesn't turn on: Ensure the probe is fully charged by placing it in the charging case and connecting the case to power. If the issue persists, try resetting the device by placing the probe in the case and pressing the reset button on the back of the case (if available).
- Unable to pair probe #2 (or any additional probe): Make sure only one probe is being paired at a time during the initial setup if experiencing issues. If you have multiple probes, ensure they are correctly seated in the charging case and that the app recognizes them individually. Re-attempt the pairing process as described in Section 5.2.
- Inaccurate temperature readings: Ensure the probe is inserted correctly into the thickest part of the meat, avoiding bones, and that the safety line is fully covered. Verify that the ambient sensor (ceramic handle part) is exposed to the cooking environment.
- Bluetooth connection issues: Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is on and within range of the charging case. Close and reopen the ToGrill app, or restart your phone and the thermometer.
9. User Tips
- Using Multiple Probes: If you have a model with two probes, both can be used simultaneously to monitor different cuts of meat or different parts of a large roast. The app will display readings for both connected probes. Both probes can be stored and charged within the same charging case.
- Pre-heat for Accuracy: For best results, allow your grill or oven to pre-heat to the desired temperature before inserting the probe into the meat.
- Resting Meat: Remember that meat continues to cook after being removed from the heat (carryover cooking). Consider removing your meat a few degrees below your target temperature to account for this.
- Monitor Ambient Temperature: The ambient temperature sensor is crucial for understanding your cooking environment, especially for slow cooking or smoking.
