1. Setup Guide

1.1 Package Contents

1.2 Power Adapter Plug Types

The camera supports various power adapter plug types. Please ensure you use the correct plug for your region.

1.3 Installation Methods

The camera can be installed on a shelf or mounted on a wall/ceiling. Ensure the camera is placed in an unobstructed area with good wireless network coverage.

  • Shelf/Flat Surface Installation: Simply place the camera on a stable surface.
  • Wall/Ceiling Mounted Installation:
    1. Mark the drilling points on the wall/ceiling using the camera's base as a template.
    2. Drill holes at the marked points.
    3. Insert expansion nuts into the drilled holes.
    4. Attach the camera bracket to the expansion nuts using screws.
    5. Secure the camera to the bracket.

1.4 Network Connection

The camera supports both 2.4GHz WiFi and RJ-45 network cable connections. Note: 5G WiFi is not supported.

1.5 App Download and Installation

The camera uses the IPC360 Home app for control and monitoring.

  • Method 1: Scan QR Code
    Scan the QR code below with your mobile device to quickly download the app.

  • Method 2: Search App Store
    Search for "IPC360 Home" in your Android (Google Play) or iOS (App Store) app store and download it.

1.6 Account Registration and Login

  1. Open the "IPC360 Home" app.
  2. Click the "Register" button (usually at the bottom left).
  3. Enter your phone number or email to receive a verification code.
  4. Enter the verification code, set your password, and confirm it.
  5. Agree to the "User Agreement and Privacy Policy" to complete registration.
  6. After registration, enter your username and password on the app's home screen to log in.

1.7 Adding the Camera

There are several ways to add your camera to the app:

1.7.1 Scan QR Code to Add

  1. After logging into the app, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a device.
  2. Point your phone's camera at the QR code located on the camera body.
  3. The app will prompt "Connect to device". Tap to automatically connect to the camera's temporary WLAN hotspot.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to complete the connection.

Note: Before adding, ensure your phone is connected to the WiFi network you intend to use for the camera. After powering on the camera, the red indicator light will turn on and flash, then a prompt tone will sound. If no tone is heard for a long time, press and hold the Reset button for about 6 seconds to restore factory settings.

1.7.2 Manual Add

  1. After logging in, tap the "+" icon.
  2. Tap "Cannot find QR code" at the bottom of the app interface.
  3. Select "WiFi Camera".
  4. Select the hotspot type and connect to the camera's hotspot (e.g., "IPC365_AP-xxxxxxx") in your phone's WLAN settings.
  5. Return to the app and wait for the AP hotspot connection to complete.
  6. When the WiFi list appears, find your desired WiFi network, enter the password, and tap "Confirm".

1.7.3 Wired Add

  1. Connect the camera to your router using an Ethernet cable.
  2. Ensure your mobile phone is connected to the same router's WiFi network.
  3. After logging into the app, tap the "+" icon.
  4. Select "Connect via network cable".
  5. Tap the detected device ID to initiate connection. The camera will emit a "ding-dong" sound, and then a "Connected to Internet" prompt tone (indicator light changes from red to green).

Note: If the device ID is not found, press the Reset button for about 6 seconds to restore factory settings, then tap "Re-search" in the app.

1.8 Setup Completion

  1. After successful addition, the app will prompt you to set a device name. You can choose a default name or enter a custom one.
  2. Tap "Confirm" after setting the device name.
  3. The app may then prompt you about the linkage function. Follow the app's instructions for calibration if desired.
  4. The camera will now appear in your device list, indicating successful connection.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 App Interface Overview

The IPC360 Home app provides various functions for managing your camera. Key elements include:

  • Live View: Access real-time video feed.
  • APP Settings: General app configurations.
  • Alarm: View and manage alarm events.
  • Device List: List of all connected cameras.
  • Add Device: Option to add new cameras.
  • Device Settings: Specific settings for each camera.
  • 4G/WiFi Signal: Displays network signal strength.
  • Cloud Storage: Access cloud recording services.
  • PTZ Control: Pan, Tilt, and Zoom controls.
  • Screenshot: Capture still images from the video feed.
  • Recording: Manually start/stop recording.
  • Two-way Audio: Initiate voice communication.
  • Night Vision: Adjust night vision modes.
  • Zoom: Digital or optical zoom control.

2.2 Opening the Video Feed

From the device list, tap the play icon (usually in the top left of the device preview) to enter the real-time monitoring screen. The video feed will display two views: a PTZ camera view (for distant objects) and a fixed lens view (for a wider angle). Tapping on any area in the fixed lens view will cause the PTZ camera to move to that specific location, providing a synchronized zoom effect.

2.3 Camera Linkage and Motion Tracking

This feature allows the PTZ camera to automatically track moving objects detected by the fixed lens.

  1. Navigate to the camera's settings (tap "..." next to the device name).
  2. Find and tap "Camera Linkage".
  3. Follow the app's instructions to calibrate the linkage.
  4. Once calibrated, if the fixed lens detects motion, the PTZ camera will automatically follow the moving object, providing a comprehensive tracking experience.
  5. When no motion is detected, the PTZ camera will return to its preset position.

2.4 Zoom Function

For 10K models with 20X optical zoom, you can adjust the zoom level directly from the live view.

  1. In the live view, locate the zoom icon (often a magnifying glass or "20X").
  2. Tap the icon to reveal a zoom slider.
  3. Drag the slider left or right to adjust the zoom level as needed.

2.5 Multi-Screen Setup and Viewing

This feature allows you to view multiple camera feeds simultaneously.

  1. From the device list, tap the "Multi-screen" icon (usually in the top left).
  2. Create a group name for your multi-screen view.
  3. Select the cameras you wish to combine (a minimum of 2 devices is required for this function).
  4. Confirm your selection to complete the multi-screen group setup.
  5. To view, tap the play icon for the multi-screen group. You can then select individual channels within the multi-screen view to access specific camera functions.

2.6 Cloud Storage

Cloud storage is an optional paid service for storing your camera's recordings.

  1. From the device list, tap "Cloud Storage" for the desired device.
  2. Tap "Buy Cloud Storage Service".
  3. Select your preferred storage plan and follow the prompts to complete the purchase.

2.7 Alarm Events

To review alarm-triggered recordings:

  1. From the device list, tap the "Alarm" icon (usually at the bottom).
  2. You can filter alarm videos by device, date, or time period.

2.8 Night Vision and Illumination

The camera offers various night vision modes:

  • Infrared Mode: Image is black and white, white LED is off.
  • Color Mode: White LED lights up, providing color vision day and night.
  • Smart Mode: Automatically switches between infrared and color mode based on detected motion or light conditions.

You can adjust these modes from the live view interface.

2.9 Preset Positions (Fixed Point Monitoring)

You can set up to 3 preset monitoring positions for your camera.

  1. In the live view, scroll down to find "Fixed Point Monitoring".
  2. Tap "Add" for Preset A, adjust the camera to the desired position, set a monitoring time, and confirm.
  3. Repeat for Preset B and other desired positions (up to 3).

2.10 Device Sharing

Share your camera's feed with family and friends.

  1. Navigate to the camera's settings.
  2. Tap "Share".
  3. Enter the recipient's IPC360 Home account (phone number or email) and confirm.

2.11 Alarm Settings

Customize how your camera alerts you to events.

  1. Navigate to the camera's settings.
  2. Tap "Alarm".
  3. Configure options such as alarm message push, alarm sound, sensitivity level, and alarm schedule.

2.12 Recording Settings and Playback

Manage how your camera records and view past footage.

  1. Recording Settings: In the camera's settings, find "Storage Card Recording Settings" to configure recording duration and storage method.
  2. Recording Playback: From the live view, tap "TF Card Playback" or "Cloud Playback" (if subscribed). You can then drag the timeline or select a specific date to view recordings.

2.13 Two-Way Audio

The camera features a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way communication.

2.15 PTZ Control

The camera offers 355° pan and 90° tilt movement, allowing you to cover a wide area.

3. Maintenance

3.1 Deleting a Device

To remove a camera from your app:

  1. Navigate to the camera's settings.
  2. Scroll down and tap "Delete".
  3. Confirm the deletion to unbind the device.

3.2 Memory Card Handling

  • No Hot-Swapping: Do not insert or remove the memory card while the camera is powered on. Always power off the camera before handling the memory card.
  • Card Quality: It is recommended to use branded or high-quality memory cards. Avoid using low-quality or counterfeit cards, as they may cause device damage or data loss.

3.3 Environmental Considerations

The camera has an IP66 waterproof rating, making it suitable for outdoor use. However, to ensure longevity:

  • Avoid installing the device in excessively damp or dusty environments.
  • Keep the device out of reach of children.

4. Troubleshooting

4.1 Camera Fails to Connect

  • Network Check: Ensure your connected WiFi network is functioning correctly and the camera is within WiFi coverage. If the signal is weak, consider using a wired connection.
  • WiFi Band: The camera only supports 2.4GHz WiFi. If your router has a 5GHz network, switch your phone to the 2.4GHz band before connecting the camera.
  • Hidden Network: If your router's wireless network is hidden, disable the hidden function temporarily during setup.

4.2 Camera Goes Offline Periodically

  • Power Supply: Check if the power adapter is working correctly and the camera's indicator light is on.
  • Distance to Router: If the camera is too far from the router, it may lose connection. Try moving the camera closer to the router to see if the issue persists.

4.3 Memory Card Not Recognized or Not Recording

  • Format Card: Power off the camera, insert the memory card, then power on and format the card through the app settings.
  • Card Quality: Ensure you are using a high-quality, genuine memory card. Low-quality cards can cause recognition and recording issues.
