Setup and Wiring
Follow these steps to properly install and wire your D48-2058 meter:
- Current Transformer Connection: Connect the wires according to the wiring diagram provided. Insert the two-wire plug of the secondary end of the current transformer (CT) into the secondary input end of the instrument. Pass the main loop wire of the circuit you wish to test through the middle round hole of the current transformer.
- Voltage Measurement: Connect the voltage measuring lead to the measuring voltage input terminal of the meter.
- Power On: Turn on the measurement voltage. The meter will then start displaying measurement results.

Operating Instructions
Once properly installed and powered, the D48-2058 meter will automatically display the measured electrical parameters on its color LCD screen. The display provides real-time readings for AC voltage, AC current, active power, power factor, frequency, and accumulated electric energy (kwh).
Energy Reset Function
The power reset button for the cumulative electric energy (kwh) is located on the lower right side of the meter. To reset the cumulative value of power, use a small, non-conductive object (e.g., a toothpick or a straightened paperclip) with a diameter of less than 2mm. Gently press it into the reset hole for 5 seconds.
Automatic Save Function
The meter is equipped with an automatic save function. When the power is turned off, the meter will automatically save the current electric energy value. Upon the next power-on, the meter will read this saved value and continue to accumulate from there.
Maintenance
The D48-2058 meter requires minimal maintenance. Keep the device clean and free from dust. Ensure all connections remain secure. No user-serviceable parts are inside the sealed unit other than the reset button.
Troubleshooting and Precautions
Compatibility Warning
The 250-450V range meter is only suitable for pure AC 50 mains power. It cannot be used for square wave, inverter output, or modified sine wave circuit measurements, as this may damage the meter. The 50-300V range meter is not affected by these limitations.
Common Issues
- No Display: Check power connections to ensure the meter is receiving adequate voltage.
- Incorrect Readings: Verify that the current transformer is correctly installed around the main loop wire and that voltage leads are properly connected. Ensure the correct voltage range model (50-300V or 250-450V) is being used for your application.
- Energy Not Accumulating: Confirm the meter is powered on. If the issue persists, try resetting the cumulative energy value using the reset button.
User Tips
- For accurate current measurement, ensure the current transformer is securely placed around only one of the live wires in a single-phase setup.
- When selecting a meter, always choose the appropriate voltage range (AC50.0-300.0V or AC250.0-450.0V) based on your specific electrical system to prevent damage and ensure correct readings.
- The compact size and panel-mount design make this meter ideal for integration into control panels or electrical enclosures.
