6. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your TUXING TXET063 compressor:

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage.
  2. Placement: Place the compressor on a firm, flat, and stable surface. Ensure there is ample space around the unit for proper ventilation. Do not block any air vents.
  3. Connect Air Outlet Hose: Attach the provided air outlet hose to the 8mm male connector on the compressor. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  4. Install Oil-Water Separator: Connect the oil-water separator in-line with the air outlet hose, as shown in Figure 6.1. This is crucial for ensuring clean, dry air.
  5. Diagram showing the oil-water separator connection and various applications for the compressor.

  7. Connect to Air Tank: Connect the other end of the air outlet hose (or the oil-water separator, if used) to the air tank you intend to fill. Ensure this connection is also secure.

7. Operating Instructions

Once the compressor is set up, follow these steps for operation:

  1. Power On: Flip the main power switch to the 'ON' position. The LCD display will illuminate.
  2. Set Target Pressure: Use the controls on the LCD panel to set your desired target pressure. Refer to your air tank's specifications for its maximum safe working pressure. The compressor will automatically stop once this pressure is reached.
  3. Start Compression: Press the 'Start' button (or equivalent) on the control panel to begin the compression process.
  4. Monitor Display: Continuously monitor the LCD display for real-time pressure, temperature, and current readings. Pay close attention to the temperature to prevent overheating.
  5. Automatic Shutdown: The compressor will automatically shut down when the preset target pressure is achieved.
  6. Release Pressure: After the compressor stops, slowly open the release valve to vent any residual pressure in the hose before disconnecting it from your air tank.
  7. Disconnect: Once pressure is fully released, disconnect the air hose from your tank and then turn off the main power switch.

8. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your compressor:

  • Filter Cotton Replacement: The oil-water separator contains filter cotton. Regularly check its condition and replace it when it appears dirty or saturated. Use the filter cotton provided in the repair kit.
  • Drain System: The compressor features a built-in drain system. Consult the manufacturer's guidelines for proper draining procedures to remove any accumulated moisture.
  • General Cleaning: Keep the exterior of the compressor clean and free of dust and debris. Ensure air vents are clear to maintain efficient cooling.
  • Hose and Connections: Periodically inspect the air hose and all connections for wear, damage, or leaks. Replace any damaged components immediately.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the compressor in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

9. Troubleshooting

Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Compressor does not turn onNo power supply; Blown fuse; Loose connectionCheck power cable and source; Inspect and replace overload fuse if necessary; Ensure all power connections are secure.
Compressor runs but does not build pressureAir leak in connections; Clogged filter; Faulty check valveCheck all hose connections for leaks; Replace filter cotton; Contact support if check valve is suspected.
Compressor overheats quicklyBlocked air vents; Prolonged operation; High ambient temperatureEnsure air vents are clear; Allow compressor to cool down between fills; Operate in a cooler environment.
Excessive noise or vibrationLoose components; Unstable surfaceCheck for and tighten any loose screws or parts; Place on a stable, vibration-absorbing surface.
Air output contains moisture/oilSaturated oil-water separator filterReplace the filter cotton in the oil-water separator.

10. User Tips

  • Air Tank Not Included: Please note that the TUXING TXET063 PCP Air Compressor does NOT come with an air tank or cylinder. These must be purchased separately.
  • Versatile Power: The compressor supports both 12V DC (for car battery use) and 110V/220V AC (for home use) power inputs, making it highly adaptable for various situations.
  • Monitor Temperature: While the compressor has fan cooling, it's good practice to periodically check the temperature displayed on the LCD, especially during long fills, to prevent overheating.
  • Pre-set Pressure: Utilize the digital auto-stop feature by setting your desired pressure. This allows for hands-free operation and prevents overfilling.
